C’est au chien Aramis du premier directeur, A. Heusser, que
l’on doit le nom et le logo de la brasserie, fondée en 1960.
En 1982, Boxer est reprise par la brasserie française « les Enfants de Gayant ».
En 1994, le groupe Sharma de Bombay (Indes)
rachète la brasserie.
En 1997, Boxer redevient propriété suisse
puisqu’elle est reprise par des investisseurs
romands ainsi que la brasserie Löwengarten.
Old – 5,2% - lager blonde
clear pale golden colour, few head, grainy with
notes of plastic, sweet, medium-bodied, short finish
– unremarkable

Premium – 5,2% - pilsener
golden colour, no head, few hop aroma, full-bodied,
nice aftertaste

Brunette – 5,2% - dunkel
dark brown colour, few hop aroma, sweet and
slightly roasty flavor

La Forte/Winterbier – 8% - lager forte
light golden colour, few head, weak aroma of
alcohol and molasses, oily with a slightly dry alcohol
finish - for fans of malt liquors only

Cowboy’s Beer – 5,3% - lager blonde
pale golden colour, fine head, slight apricot aroma, watery with a plastic aftertaste

Bière de Fête – 5,6% - Vienna
bright red-brown colour, nice head and lace,
light spicy nose (nutmeg ?), notes of caramel,
sweet and medium-bodied, the finish is malty,
sugary and spicy - the first interesting beer from
this otherwise poor brewery
