Unidrink Adresse : Niffel, 6281 Hochdorf (LU) Fondation : 1963 Homepage : http://www.unidrink.ch Production: 170’000 hl C’est en 1963 que l’entreprise Lupo, fondée en 1918 en tant que producteur et distributeur de cidre, se lance sur le marché de la bière avec sa propre brasserie. Après avoir été reprise dans un premier temps par Granador, Lupo verra son nom disparaître en 2005 lorsque son propriétaire s’unira à Pomdor pour créer Unidrink, une société qui produit et distribue aujourd’hui une palette impressionnante de boissons : Ramseier, Granador, Sinalco, Elmer et Pepsi. Autant dire que la bière n’est pas le principal cheval de bataille de l’entreprise. Néanmoins, avec ses quelques 170'000 hectolitres annuels, Unidrink est la 4ème brasserie du pays. Lupo Lager Hell Lupo Edelhell Lupo Bock-Bier Lupo Festtbier Lupo Weizenbier Römer Edelhell – 4,8% - Pilsener [10,8] Rigi Hell – 4,9% - Lager blonde [12,4] Denner Lager =Spar/Waro/Manor pours a clear and bright golden colour under a white foamy head; fat corny aroma, almost soapy; sweet and medium-bodied; a touch of bitterness and a moderate herbla finish - very raw stuff; not good [8] Spar Lager Hell- 4,8% - lager blonde clear pale golden colour, fine head and a nice lacing, moderate grassy hoppiness, sweet and medium-bodied with a dry and slightly bitter finish - typically swiss: well-made and boring [10,8] Denner Export – 5% - Dortmunder/Helles light golden colour, almost no lace, hint of plastic aroma, some dryness [8] Denner Spezial – 5,2% - Dortmunder/Helles deep golden colour, fine head, well-hopped, good body, slightly dry aftertaste [12,4] Denner Cresta – 4,8% - pilsener clear bright golden colour, few foam, moderate hoppinness with some herbal notes, sweet, clean and slightly sparkling with a dry, light bitter finish [11,6] King Lager Otto Smile Coruba Landi Farmer Bière de Noël – 5% - Vienna Landi Farmer Weizenbier – 5,2 - Weizenbier thanks to Jürg Oberli for this one - it pours a cloudy dark orange colour with almost no foam; very corny nose with a touch of banana; oily with a high carbonation and a moderate malt body, very sweet with a heavily corny and a bit spicy finish - this one is wandering on the cloying side of weizen ... [9,6] Landi Farmer Hell – 4,8 – lager blonde clear bright golden colour with few foam, hay and paperboard in the nose, tart and sweet, medium-bodied, dry and insignificant finish [7,6] Landi Farmer Dunkel – 5% - dunkel dark brown colour, few foam, slightly toasted malt aroma with some notes of butter, sparkling and sweet, medium-bodied, the finish is short and light malty - terribly lacking of complexity [8,8]
