Since 1957, the World Federation of International
Music Competitions has proudly served as the
international governing body of the world’s foremost
competitions. Today, the Federation represents 128
competitions on six continents covering disciplines
including strings, piano, voice, winds, percussion,
composition, conducting, chamber music and jazz.

The Federation continues to grow with numerous
competitions worldwide applying for membership
annually, reaffirming the importance and value
of competitions to career launching for aspiring
concert artists. Acceptance into the Federation
is an honor reserved for competitions of the
highest artistic standards. The ultimate goal of
the Federation is to identify the next generation
of concert artists by searching the world for the
finest talent, providing a platform for them to be
heard and judged under the most ideal and unbiased
conditions and helping to launch their careers.

Depuis 1957, la Fédération Mondiale des Concours
Internationaux de Musique est l’organisation faîtière
des concours les plus importants au monde; elle
réunit aujourd’hui 128 concours présents sur les 6
continents et couvrant un grand nombre de disciplines,
notamment les instruments à cordes, le piano, la voix,
les instruments à vent, la percussion, la composition,
la direction d’orchestre, la musique de chambre et le
jazz.
La Fédération continue de se développer; chaque
année, de nombreux concours présentent leur
adhésion, ce qui confirme l’importance et la valeur
des concours en général pour la promotion de
l’avenir et des carrières des jeunes musiciens. Etre
accepté en qualité de membre de la Fédération est un
privilège réservé aux concours présentant des qualités
artistiques et d’organisation du plus haut niveau.
La Fédération a pour objectif premier d’identifier la
prochaine génération d’artistes en recherchant dans le
monde entier les meilleurs talents, en leur fournissant
une plate-forme pour se faire entendre tout en étant
évalués et jugés de manière totalement professionnelle
et impartiale, contribuant ainsi à lancer leurs carrières.
Le privilège de jouer en présence de membres de jury
renommés, de chefs d’orchestre connus, d’agents de
concerts et de critiques importants est sans aucun
doute l’avantage décisif pour les participants aux
concours membres de la Fédération. A cela s’ajoute
