About BCEE
Fondée en 1856, la Banque et Caisse d’Epargne de l’Etat,
Luxembourg (BCEE), est la doyenne des institutions financières
du Luxembourg et représente une pierre d’angle de la
communauté financière. Le capital de la BCEE est entièrement
détenu par l’Etat du Grand-Duché de Luxembourg, ce qui en
fait le seul institut financier important du pays à ne pas être
dépendant d’un actionnariat étranger.

La BCEE est un des fondateurs et l’actionnaire principal de
la Bourse de Luxembourg et membre de Clearstream et
d’Euroclear, les deux systèmes internationaux de clearing
de titres. Elle agit d’ailleurs en tant que banque dépositaire
d’Euroclear, tâche qu’elle accomplit depuis la création du
système en 1968.
BCEE is a founder and the principal shareholder of the
Luxembourg Stock Exchange and a member of both
Clearstream and Euroclear, the two international securities
clearing systems. It acts as custodian bank for Euroclear and has
fulfilled this role since the system was established back in 1968.
La BCEE est un des principaux émetteurs luxembourgeois
dans les marchés Euro Medium Term Note (EMTN), Euro
Commercial Paper (ECP) et US Commercial Paper (USCP).
L’activité des fonds d’investissement constitue un des
segments les plus importants pour la BCEE. Depuis la création
du tout premier fonds luxembourgeois en 1959, la BCEE
n’a cessé de développer cette activité. Elle met sa longue
expérience non seulement au profit de ses propres fonds
maison, mais aussi au profit de fonds de promoteurs tiers
qui aujourd’hui représentent de loin la plus grande partie
de son activité fonds. Ce pourcentage élevé de fonds de tiers
témoigne de la flexibilité de la BCEE ainsi que de la qualité
des services qu’elle preste.
Pionnière en matière de solution de sous-traitance, la
BCEE offre ses services ensemble avec European Fund
Administration S.A. (EFA), partenaire performant créé en
1996, qui est devenu un des leaders dans le domaine de la
gestion des fonds d’investissement à Luxembourg. La BCEE

BCEE is one of the principal Luxembourg issuers of Euro
Medium Term Notes (EMTN), Euro Commercial Papers (ECP)
and US Commercial Papers (USCP).
The investment funds activity is one of the core businesses
of BCEE. Since the setting-up of the first Luxembourg-based
investment fund in 1959, BCEE continued developing this
activity. Currently, it provides its know-how not only to
a full range of in-house funds, but also to a large number
of investment funds launched by different international
promoters who today represent by far the biggest part of its
investment fund activity. This high percentage of third party
funds underlines the flexibility of BCEE as well as the quality
of the provided services.
As a pioneer in outsourcing solutions, BCEE offers its services
together with European Fund Administration S.A. (EFA), a
powerful partner created in 1996, which has become one
of the leaders in the fund administration, transfer agent
and registrar business in Luxembourg. BCEE is a reference
shareholder of EFA.

■ L’administration des fonds est assurée en collaboration
avec European Fund Administration S.A. (EFA), société
joint venture créée par la BCEE en 1996. EFA est spécialisée
dans la comptabilité des fonds et le calcul des valeurs
nettes d’inventaire (VNI). Elle offre également ses services
d’agent de transfert et d’agent teneur de registre. La BCEE
sous-traite l’ensemble de son activité d’agent comptable
à EFA qui, en l’espace de quelques années seulement,
a su se hisser en première position dans l’administration de
fonds à Luxembourg en terme de nombre de compartiments.
■ In 1996, BCEE created the joint venture European
Fund Administration S.A. (EFA), a specialised company
in accounting services for investment funds, Net Asset Value
(NAV) calculation and also transfer agent and registrar
services. BCEE subcontracts its entire fund accounting business
to EFA, which, within just a few years, has become the market
leader in fund administration in Luxembourg in terms of
number of sub-funds.

Management (BCEE-AM), centre d’analyse financière, de
recherche et de gestion de la BCEE. BCEE-AM peut aussi agir
