With world business figures of more than 30 billion euros, the video game industry is now worth more than the movie industry. However, this industry is still maturing and thus today requires a high level of training in order to raise the level of professionalism, to define and recognise the competencies needed and to insure the industry's adaptability to new technologies and e-commerce. To be a successful professional in the video game industry it is not only necessary to have creative ideas and technical expertise but also possess a full understanding of the demands of this evolving market and to have an international dimension to your career. « The video game today, represents the visible face of a still emerging digital entertainment market. Advances in the areas of artificial intelligence, 3D interfaces, enhanced reality, etc. have become increasingly defined. To understand these future technologies and have a vision of the convergence of media are key contributions of the Video Game Management MBA Programme ». Jean- Claude Heudin, Director of IIM's Interactive Media Laboratory and author of “Artificial Creatures” Editions Odile Jacob. « With the tremendous increase in downloading, on-line games, and “casual” gaming, digital entertainment is in full mutation and offers important growth opportunities with new distribution methods.
