Te mana o te moana implements programs for the protection and the monitoring of marine
species (cetaceans, turtles, fishes, corals) and participates to the Reef Check network.
The association also manages the Marine Turtle Clinic, authorized by the Ministry of Environment,
which is set up on the premises of the hotel InterContinental Moorea Resort & Spa.

Te mana o te moana promotes environmental awareness for the public, for local populations and
especially for children, through educational programs aimed at a better understanding of the local
natural heritage and its fragile balance.
Research...
Te mana o te moana in partnership with other associations, universities and international research
centers, is involved in scientific projects pertaining to the Polynesian marine fauna and island ecosystems.

Te mana o te moana met en place des programmes de protection et de suivi des espèces marines
(cétacés, tortues, poissons, coraux) et participe au réseau Reef Check.
L’association gère également la clinique des tortues marines autorisée par arrêté du Ministère en
charge de l’environnement et installée au sein de l’hôtel InterContinental Moorea Resort & Spa.

Te mana o te moana oeuvre pour la sensibilisation du public, des populations locales et plus
spécialement des enfants, au travers de programmes pédagogiques contribuant à une meilleure
connaissance du patrimoine naturel local et de sa fragilité.
Recherche...
Te mana o te moana participe à des études et des projets de recherche sur la faune
marine polynésienne et l’écosystème insulaire, en partenariat avec des associations,
des universités et des centres de recherche internationaux.
