A team of health professionals are there to assure a welcome, and offer regular consultations and preventive healthcare
:
Medical consultations with general practitioners or specialists (gynaecologists, phychologists, psychiatrists,
nutritionists, specialists in disabilities)Full nursing and vaccination services
24-hour advice and psychological counselling telephone helpline
Planning centre (contraception, abortion, HIV testing, sexology)
Relaxation therapy
Help with nicotine and other addictions
Consultations on diet and food consumption
Workshops: Self-confidence, group theory, stress management
First Aid training
All these services are available without initial payment. Make sure that you take with you:
your student card,
your health card 'carte vitale' or your certificate of affiliation to Social Security and any complementary policy
'mutuelle', or your European Health Insurance Card 'Carte Européenne d'Assurance Maladie'.

The University Service for Preventive Medecine and Health Promotion (SUMPPS) offers many services:
Medical consultations : personalized advice and, if need be, referral to an external general practitioner or
specialist, medical certificates, specialized consultations (workshops to help to stop smoking, to achieve a
balanced diet, to tackle insomnia, etc);
Nursing care and vaccinations,
Psychological consultations,
Consultations for disabled students including authorization and monitoring of special study and examination
arrangements as well as daily life problems; working in collaboration with the University's Mission Handicap,
Workshops: awareness and self-confidence, sophrology and relaxation and massages for stress management,
First-aid training,
Social service : Counselling and support in administrative matters. Throughout the year the SUMPPS Service is
also involved, through individual and collective action programs, in the constant promotion of prevention and
health. All these services are proposed with no student payment involved.
Remember!
The SUMPPS is not a health centre but a preventive medicine service. Thus, you cannot declare one of its doctors as
your medecin traitant for Social Security purposes.
