Higher performance materials for extreme environments
CEMAM People Research Training Partners Facilities Job opportunities Higher performance materials for extreme environments INSTITUTIONS The limits of standard materials are continuously reached as we push back the frontier of hostile environments, whether in the nuclear or petro chemistry industry, or in the design of gas turbines where efficiency of energy production and transformation demands increased temperatures and pressure. That is why IRP 1 focuses on getting a better performance of out of materials exposed to extreme environments. Grenoble Institute of Technology CNRS Université Grenoble Alpes University of Savoie CONTACT By using a material by design approach, the aim of this project is to control and understand early failures in situations where temperature, chemical environment, or radiation damage is the main issue.
