Time:
Faithful obedience to God’s
law is a sign of our love and
devotion to Him. It might
seem to some that obedience to God’s law restricts their lives
and their freedom. Yet viewed in terms of a human analogy,
we know that when parents call their children to be obedient,
they do so out of a sense of loving responsibility. Parents are
charged to guide their children to become capable and
faithful adults. In the same way, God’s law directs us in our
spiritual relationship with Him.

have collected $30,560 to pay for a new bridge to access the
main entrance of the cemetery in Stoney Point. Thank you
very much to the families who recently made a donation. If
every family gives their share we will reach our goal of
$35,000. We are almost there!

Ministry Fair - September 19 & 20
Mise-à-jour du Cimetière de
l’Annonciation: Nous avons maintenant encaissé
30,560$ pour payer pour un nouveau pont au cimetière de
Pointe-aux-Roches. Un grand merci aux familles qui ont
récemment fait une contribution envers ce projet. Si chaque
famille nous aide nous arriverons à notre but de 35,000$.
Nous sommes presque-là!
Thank you...for making our recent fundraiser for the
Bancouly family a huge success. Thank you to everyone
who helped, under the direction of Pauline Cook. All the
donations of food, door prizes, money and help in anyway,
was greatly appreciated. Thank you for everyone’s support.

and thoughtful to all of us following the passing of a
wonderful wife, mother and grand-maman, Annette Lebert.
A special thanks to Father Bob, Jamie and the whole parish
staff who guided us spiritually. Thanks to Meghan, Kelly
and the choir who led us in song during the beautiful mass.
Also, thanks to all the volunteers that cooked in the kitchen

2nd Annual Pork Chop Dinner on Saturday, September 12th
at 6:00 pm. Tickets are $15 each and are being sold after
masses. Please support our ushers.

County is being held at St. John the Baptist Parish in
Amherstburg, on Friday, September 11th at 7:30 pm. If you
have made a Cursillo Weekend please come and share in a
faith-filled evening. All Cursillistas are welcome!

Women's League member? We are approximately 170
women members from our parish who award bursaries to
high school students, support local elementary schools, help
with various parish activities, host Guest speakers at our
monthly meetings, work with the Squirettes of Mary to put
on annual socials, organize events such as the annual
Autumnfest Bazaar, host First Communion, Confirmation
and RCIA receptions, take part in the Lenten Card Parties
and much more. Be a part of a vital national organization
that is faith-filled, fun and social. If you are interested in
becoming a member, drop by our table to learn more and
receive an information package.
CWL members - Don't forget to renew your membership
(special reminder to “Snowbirds”) and be entered in the free
membership draw. Membership Fee is $25. New members
will have their names entered for a “special” draw.
Book Sale:
The Visitation CWL is sponsoring the
Autumnfest Bazaar, Saturday September 26th. Once
again we will have a gently used Children's Book Sale
with proceeds going to children's charities. If you should
have English or Français children's books, DVDs and
CD’s in good condition (please NO games or puzzles)
you wish to donate, please feel free to bring them in and
put in the designated boxes in the Altar Servers room by
Sunday, September 20th. Thank you!
CWL Ladies: The General membership meeting is 1
week earlier on Monday, September 14th at 7:00 pm.
Topic: Autumnfest Bazaar plans. Members are asked to
bring: 1) Sold bazaar raffle ticket stubs/money 2)Toonie
donation for the Grocery raffle 3)New Item for the Penny
Sale table ($10 value) 4)Membership dues payment ($25).
Last year there was a great amount of help at the Bazaar and
we look forward to seeing you out again this year.
