GLAMBITION is a bilingual event for high school girls

GLAMBITION is a bilingual event for high school girls which stems from a
collaborative effort between the Carrefours jeunesse-emploi of Montreal and the
Fédération québécoise des coopératives en milieu scolaire (Coopsco).
This ground-breaking event will take place on November 14th, 2013 at the Centre
de Loisirs communautaires Lajeunesse, and will incite girls to reach for the stars
and make their dreams a reality, by considering entrepreneurial projects as a viable
choice for their personal, social and professional development. We believe that
encouraging girls to become change makers is essential. According to a recent study
by the Global Entrepreneurship monitor, women tend to be less optimistic and less
confident with regards to their decision to start a business. For this reason,
Glambition ensures that girls are aware of their options and are confident about
taking on opportunities that can positively impact their lives.
Every entrepreneurial activity that students undertake, which is followed by a
period of self-reflection, can contribute to their identity-building process and in
guiding them towards new academic and professional paths.1
This event is a partner of Global Entrepreneurship Week Canada (www.gewcanada.com)
which celebrates entrepreneurs and inspires people to get entrepreneurial in 80 countries
worldwide and through over 200 organisations in Canada.
