Context of the project (1)
• In 1994, Bruno and Sybille du Parc to
develop forestry activities.
• They decided to put their time and their
contribution to some projects
• Movement growing since 1994
• Lots of interest in Europe
• Abantu Zambia, a Belgian charity has been
incorporated in 2004.

agricultural cooperative has been restored in
2009
– To upgrade a proximity agricultural pole, located on
a strategic road (see map)

• To avoid long and difficult trips to Lusaka

• We select one item, without Global Grant that
is completely financed by RC LLN

• But this is now the lowest probability as other
clubs are interested to participate

Possible financing: best case
Global Grant
• Si un projet est limité aux subventions d'un district, il peut recevoir
une assistance du district d'au maximum 40 % et limité à 4 000 $ =
3 000 €. Le district impose des délais (février de chaque année)
Si un projet demande l'appui du Rotary Intl, le projet peut être
financé, sans date de délai pour remise du projet, comme suit pour
le projet minimum accepté :
Le Club donne 12 250 €
Le District peut ajouter 40 % soit 4 900 €
La Fondation ajoute 4 900 € = 100% de l'apport du District + 6 125 €
= 50% de ce que le club a donné, soit 4900+6125 = 11 025 € (= 15
000 $)
C'est le plus petit projet acceptable par la Fondation.
Au total, le projet = 12 250 + 4 900 + 11 025 = 28 175 €
Si (le ou) les clubs donnent plus, tout peut être augmenté en même
%.
