Summary
Since 2005, a women’s group has operated a sorting unit for washing and grinding of
hard plastic in Ouagadougou. They sold these plastic pellets to make new objects for
schools. For the past 2 years, the center has basically stopped its operations due to various
problems: failed grinders; problems with the induction of water; bankruptcy of their main
client, etc. Despite this setback, the women remain motivated. The project aims to revive
the center and put a sustainable business plan into place.

These women have great motivation to clean their city while creating jobs. We will build on a project that is already a success in
Bobo Dioulasso (Burkina Faso) where the first recycling center was
created with the women’s association GAFREH.
