Allasane Kondogo Age 14…. Je travaille dans la plantation de café de
mon père, je n’ai jamais été à l’école, j’habite Kouadiokro, je pars au
champ en ce moment pour couper les mauvaises herbes dans la
plantation de cacao. Ce travail est dur et penible pour moi. Mais je suis
obligé d’aider mon papa.
I’m Allasane Kondongo, I am 14 years old… I work on my father’s coffee
plantation. I have never been to school. I live in Kouadiokro, I am on my
way to cut weeds (clear the field) on a cocoa plantation. The work is hard
and exhausting. But I must help my father.

to the fields… when we tried to talk to him his brothers responded for
him… Kouame does not go to school anymore… he stopped his studies in
CE2 (cours elementaire 2) … he works in his father’s field

Je m’appele Bangaly Kieta, J’ais 16 ans. J’habite Dibadougou, je ne suis
jamais allé à l’école, je travaille dans la plantation de café de mon oncle,
mes parents vivent en Guinée. Le travail est pénible. Je vais au champ
actuelement pour cueillir les cérises de café . L’insecticde que j’ai sur le
dos , je vais l’utiliser pour vaporiser les arbres de café pour tuer les
insectes. Je suis libre d’aller au champ quant je veux , je n’ai jamais
travaillé dans le cacao, le travail du café est dur que celui du cacao.
I am Bangaly Kieta, I am 16 years old. I live in Dibadougou, I have never
been to school. I work on my ‘uncle’s’ coffee plantation, my parents live in
Guinea. The work is exhausting. I am on my way to pick coffee beans. I
am carrying insecticide to spray the beans. I work in the fields when I
want, I have never worked in the cocoa fields. Working on the coffee
plantations is harder than working on the cocoa plantations.

Laurent Koffi Kouakou, 14 ans. Je ne vais pas à l’école, mon papa a
préféré me laisser travailler dans la plantation de cacao. Je vais au champ
pour travailler le champ de cacao. Je vais couper les mauvaises herbes.
Le travail de la machette est dur, ca fatigue la paume de la main, je n’aime
pas ce travail mais je ne sais rien fait d’autre si ce n’est pas travailler
dans le cacao.
I am Laurent Koffi Kouakou. I am 14 years old. I don’t go to school. My

cramps, I don’t like this work but I don’t know how to do anything else.

Lacina Ouattara, 14 years old working in field, je partais à l’école avant la
guerre dans mon village de Bollé dans le Nord de la Côte d’Ivoire quant la
guerre est arrivé, on m’a envoyé ici pour travailler dans la plantation de
cacao. Je veux retourner à l’école, je n’aime pas ce travail, il est beaucoup
diffile et je n’ai pas de salaire.
