Fr III 1001 Projet Alsace Lorraine
Fr III
Objectives:
PROJET: L’ALSACE ET LA LORRAINE
-Be able to present a cultural aspect of a French region in French.
-Learn about a French region through student presentations
Steps:
1. Research information on an aspect of the Alsace or Lorraine with a partner,
assigned to you. The starting point for all projects is the Panorama p. 46-47.
Your project should include the information presented in the textbook, and
expand on it.
2. Create a Google Slides presentation, and share the information you gathered with
the class.
3. Make a small poster that would summarize the main points of your presentation.
Your project will be entirely in French.
Requirements for the Google Slides presentation
Please, note that no other format than Google Slides will be accepted.
-Your Google Slides will have 6-8 slides. You will write key words/ideas on your slides.
Avoid typing full sentences on your slides, but when speaking, you are expected to make
full sentences. You might want to use the “notes” section of Google Slides or index cards
for your full sentences.
-Your slides will be visually appealing (illustrations, colors, an easy to read font…)
-The last slide of your presentation will show your sources (websites, books).
-You will share your Google Slides Presentation with your teacher.
Requirements for the Oral Presentation
-Your oral presentation will last approximately 5-6 minutes.
-You and your partner will share the speaking time.
-You will rehearse it at home, and at school. You will train to have a clear enunciation
and a near perfect pronunciation. You will ask your teacher’s help as needed.
Requirements for the Petit Poste
-You will make a colorful small poster, the size of a regular sheet of paper.
-You will include 2-3 illustrations you showed in your presentation. You will have
captions in French for each one.
-You will have a few basic facts on your poster
-You will superimpose your topic in French.
Again, this poster needs to be IN COLOR. If you don’t have access to a color printer, ask
the librarian for some help (first color print is free, after that it’s 25 cents).
Going further…
-Consider preparing a little synthesis for your classmates with the information they need
to remember (a map, a recipe, etc), or something related to your project (a dish, a
drawing, etc)
-Consider including an audio/video document in your presentation (movie, song…)
