Food Drop Information – Matane Wildlife Reserve
A food-drop box was set in place at the entrance of Lac Matane Campground and at the entrance of PetitSault Campground. Those boxes are hidden. In order to know their exact location, you need to have a
passport or a reservation. You can either drop the food yourself or use the food-dropping service of the
IAT-QC : $45 (Lac Matane) or $55 (Petit-Sault and Lac Matane), if the package is sent two weeks in
advance.
Notes :
-The content of your box may be transferred in a bag in order to save room.
-The fees range between $45 and $55 if the box is sent two weeks in advance.
- For delivery on request or a last minute delivery, the price is $100 to $125.
-You can address your payment to IAT-QC, or make a credit card payment.
-You can either send your box in advance to IAT-QC, or drop it to the IAT-QC Office (Second Floor of
the Matane Lighthouse – It is also the Tourist Information Office).
-The fees are charged according to the distance and the amount of gas needed.
