La présente série témoigne des charges et mandats octroyés par l’autorité civile dans la
Nouvelle-France, le Bas-Canada et la Province de Québec. Les documents ont été
collectionnés par le juge Baby et ont trait, entre autres, à des autorisations de pratique
professionnelle. On y retrouve des commissions afin de distribuer des terres, des
nominations, des permis, ordonnances, permission d’exercer, requêtes, commissions de
notaires, licences d’apothicaire, commissions de pratique d’avocat, etc.
