PREMIER PRIX “NATALIE ZEMON DAVIS”

Franz Posset a gagné la première édition du prix « Natalie Zemon Davis »
pour sa recherche parue dans la revue multi-disciplinaire Renaissance and
Reformation / Renaissance et Réforme.
Son article est intitulé Polyglot Humanism in Germany circa 1520 as
Luther’s Milieu and Matrix: The Evidence of the “Rectorate Page” of
Crotus Rubeanus et a été publié dans le volume 27 de notre revue. Dr.
Posset est un chercheur indépendant, domicilié à Beaver Dam, Wisconsin,
États-Unis.
Le prix « Natalie Zemon Davis » a été institué en l’honneur de la contribution de Professeur Davis à la recherche dans le domaine de l’histoire des
débuts du monde moderne. Elle a été la première Directrice de notre revue,
fondée en 1964. Le jury de cette année était formé de Elizabeth Harvey,
University of Toronto, directrice; Jane Couchman, York University;
et François Paré, University of Waterloo. Le prix a une valeur de 500$
CAD.

FIRST NATALIE ZEMON DAVIS PRIZE
Franz Posset has won the first Natalie Zemon Davis Prize for scholarship from the multi-disciplinary journal Renaissance and Reformation /
Renaissance et Réforme. Posset’s essay is Polyglot Humanism in
Germany circa 1520 as Luther’s Milieu and Matrix: The Evidence of the
“Rectorate Page” of Crotus Rubeanus. The essay appeared in Volume 27
of the Journal. Dr Posset is an independent scholar living in Beaver Dam,
Wisconsin, USA.
The Natalie Zemon Davis Prizes honours Professor Davis for her contributions to early modern scholarship. She served as the Journal’s first
editor at its founding in 1964. The Jury was Elizabeth Harvey, University
of Toronto, Chair; Jane Couchman, York University; and François Paré,
University of Waterloo. The Prize carries a monetary award of CAD 500.
