Notre équipe associe des chercheurs en épidémiologie et santé publique et des cliniciens issus de divers horizons (obstétriciens, pédiatres et pédopsychiatres). Nos travaux de recherche portent pour l’essentiel sur le handicap de l’enfant et la santé des adolescents, avec une complémentarité des approches disciplinaires et une implication forte dans des réseaux de collaborations nationales et européennes dans les deux domaines. L’approche épidémiologique est commune à tous nos travaux et repose sur la mise en œuvre de cohortes hospitalières ou d’enquêtes en population générale. Nous animons par ailleurs un des deux registres de population français les Handicaps de l’Enfant. Objectif scientifique Etude des conséquences à long terme des complications de la période néonatale. Handicaps de l'enfant (registre des Handicaps de l'Enfant en Haute-Garonne). Qualité de vie, participation (notamment dans le milieu scolaire) des enfants en situation de handicap. Comportements de santé de l’enfant et ses déterminants (enquête OMS/HBSC). Nutrition, prévention de l'obésité de l'enfant. Retombées attendues en santé Coopérations / Partenariats Amélioration de la prévention des handicaps liés à la naissance. Contribution aux programmes d'éducation pour la santé en milieu scolaire. Our team consists of specialists in epidemiology and public health and clinicians from various fields (obstetrics, paediatrics, psychiatry). Our research is focused on childhood disabilities and adolescent health, enriched through exchanges with various disciplines and based on strong collaborations at the national and the European level in both areas. The epidemiological approach is common to all our projects and based on the implementation of cohorts of patients as well as population-based studies. One feature is our registry which is a main source of data regarding childhood disabilities in France today. Scientific objective Study of long-term consequences of complications of neonatal period.
