 MARK HACHEM GALLERY Curia Perez Born in 1969, Madrid, Spain. EN Born in Madrid, Spain, in 1969. The natural elegance of men from non-­European cultures has always been a source of inspiration for the artists of the continent. In his work, Jesús Curiá Perez shows a great passion for African and Asian cultures. Peoples from all over the world are called upon to move, step by step, towards a global vision, ultimately forming a unique universal population. This ideal is the main motif behind the artist’s work. His sculptures combine figurative elements (head and hands) with bodies displayed in abstract positions. The viewer’s attention is triggered by individual elements that characterize each sculpture, however preserving a vision of unity. FR Né à Madrid, Espagne, en 1969. L'élégance naturelle des hommes de cultures occidentales a toujours été une source d'inspiration pour les artistes européens. Jesús Curiá Perez nourrit une vive passion pour les cultures africaines et asiatiques.
