Q1. What is UniWorld?
A.
 UniWorld is a recent offering from Glo backed by ground breaking technology that allows Glo subscribers
in any of the 3 Glo networks top-up their accounts with Local recharge cards in any visited Glo
network/country and enjoy a flat based Unified Uniform pricing while roaming in any of these locations.
 This new service offering is applicable to both Postpaid and Prepaid subscribers

1. The rates in the table above are UNIFORM but presented in the 3 different currencies of the Glo
operating countries.
2. Received call charge of NGN 8.00 is per minute
3. The rates stated below may fluctuate from time to time as the exchange rate between CFA/Cedis
and naira fluctuates.
4. The fixed value will be the rate in Naira, Cedis and CFA
5. “Glo Zone” represents the 3 Glo networks/affiliates; Calling any Glo affiliate outside the visited
country
Q2. Who can enjoy the new UniWorld Roaming?
A.
All Glo Nigeria, Glo Benin and Glo Ghana subscribers roaming in Nigeria, Benin or Ghana.
Does that mean that no roaming charges will be applied?
Yes! There will be no roaming surcharge as the pricing above indicates. The sub will enjoy these new very
affordable rates that are uniform across all 3 Glo networks.
Q3. What is the cost of calling home [Nigeria, Ghana] when I am roaming in Benin?
A.
When you are calling Glo Nigeria or Ghana from Benin you will be charged 35.00 naira [0.4 Ghana
Cedis]/per minute.
When you are calling other non-Glo networks outside Benin you will be charged 75.00 Naira [0.86 Ghana
Cedis]/per minute.
Q4. As a Glo Nigeria/Ghana Roamer in Benin what will I be charged for calling locally within Benin?
A.
You will be charged 19.00 Naira [0.22 Ghana Cedis]/per minute for making calls to any subscriber on the
Glo Benin network.
You would also be charged 30.00 Naira [0.34 Ghana Cedis]/per minute for other local calls with Benin
Q5. When I send SMS while Roaming in Benin or Ghana how much will I be charged? [Note: For now SMS
MO is only available to Postpaid subscribers].
A.
You will be charged 6.00 Naira [0.07 Ghana Cedis]/per SMS On-Net and 16.00 Naira Off-Net [0.17 Ghana
Cedis]/per SMS for all SMS to non Glo networks
Why is this not also available to Prepaid Subscribers?
This is currently been worked on and would be available for all Glo subs soon enough.
Q6. When I receive calls while roaming on the Glo Benin network will I be charged?
A.
YES, in this new price regime all Glo Nigeria/Ghana subs roaming in Benin will receive calls at a cost 8.00
Naira [0.09 Ghana Cedis] /per call. Far below what competition is offering.
Q7. Is the cost of calling other networks in Nigeria while roaming on the Glo Benin network the same as
other international destinations?
A.
YES! For all International destinations EXCEPT Satellite numbers but including other networks in your
home country the following rates would apply; 75.00 Naira [0.86 Cedis]/per minute
Q8. Would I be able to call satellite destinations while roaming on any of the Glo affiliate networks? If yes
what will be the roaming tariff?
A.
NO! While roaming on the Glo Benin Network Glo Nigeria/Ghana subs [Postpaid & Prepaid] will not be
able to call satellite destinations.
Q9. Will I be able to enjoy reduced pricing for GPRS Roaming with this new service offering?
A.
YES! GPRS roaming is currently available for only Postpaid Subs at 0.50 Naira/kb [0.01 Cedis/kb] on any
Glo affiliate network.
Q10. Would I still receive calls even when I have exceeded my set credit limit or run out of credit while
roaming on any of the Glo Affiliate networks?
[Note: This applies to Postpaid and Prepaid subscribers]
A. No! There must be some available credit to receive calls while roaming on any of the 3 Glo networks at a
cost of 8.00 Naira/minute [0.09 Cedis/per minute].
Q11. How will the Postpaid subscriber enjoy UniWorld?
A. The Postpaid Subscriber would have to activate roaming by paying a deposit at any of the gloworld
outlets.
Q12. What currency will my bills come in with this UniWorld Roaming service offering? [Note: This applies
to only Postpaid subscribers]
A.
Your bills will still be rated in Naira or Cedis or CFA depending on your Glo Home country.
Q13. Is there a special Short code for Customer Care under this new arrangement?
A.
The Special Customer Care short code for Glo subs for UniWorld Roaming in Ghana is 456 and for Glo
Benin is 98030121.
Q14. What is will I be charged for calling any of these short code while roaming in Ghana or Benin?
A.
Glo subscribers would not be charged for calling the UniWorld short codes while roaming in Ghana or
Benin
Q15. Can I load my account with a Glo Benin/Ghana Recharge Card while roaming in Benin or Ghana?
A.
Yes of Course! This is the major concept behind the UniWorld Roaming service offering from Glo
Can I still top up with a Glo Nigerian recharge card while roaming on the Glo Benin/Ghana network ?

Q16. What currency will my credit come in after I load a local recharge card while roaming in any of the Glo
Affiliate networks?
A.
Your credit will be converted to the currency of your Home Network i.e. Naira/Cedis/CFA!
Q16. What is the recharge process for a Glo Nigerian Subscriber when using a local recharge card in Glo
Benin and vice versa?
A.
Glo Benin Republic Subscriber roaming on Glo Nigeria Network;
Step-1: Subscriber would purchase recharge voucher of desired denomination from any Glo Nigeria
Retailer.
Step-2: Dial- *123*234*PIN#
Step-3: Press Send/Ok
***On confirmation the Glo line would be loaded with the desired denomination converted to your
local home network currency, and our unique affordable uniform local rates would apply.
Glo Nigeria Subscriber roaming on Glo Benin Republic Network;
Step-1: Subscriber would purchase recharge voucher of desired denomination from any Glo Benin
Republic Retailer.
Step-2: Dial- *123*229*PIN#
Step-3: Press Send/Ok
