A considerable portion of the activities of
the Aerazur company is devoted to the
fabrication of pneumatic safety equipment.
The following are representative: life-vest
Type 17 used by the French Air F o r c e ; CEV
Aerazur life-vest Type 33 for pilots of the
Mirage III; and life-raft Type 11, as used by
the French Air Force. This is packed differently according to the type of aircraft or
seat with which it is used; one package, for
example, is supplied with the [Martin-Baker
ejection seat of the Mirage III.
Aerazur also supply a full line of multi-seat
life-rafts—Type 327 for six persons; Type 427
for ten persons; Type 627 for 20 persons—and
6- and 12-ton pneumatic lifts for raising
damaged aircraft. Among the pneumatic
equipment a "life-cradle" for babies is noteworthy.
Other products are floats and
pontoons for helicopters and special shockabsorber packings, made of rubberized fabric,
for missile recovery.
La societe est specialisee dans Vetude et la
fabrication de toutes sortes de radeaux et gilets
pneumatiques de sauvetage, pour usage tant
militaire que civil.

As we write. Aero Commander Inc expect to
display the G r a n d Commander, the 680F-P,
and—of particular interest—the Jet Commander.
The G r a n d Commander is slightly more
than 6ft longer than earlier Aero Commanders,
has increased headroom and a separate crew
compartment. U p to nine passengers, in
addition to a two-man crew, can be carried.
The 680F-P, which is capable of crossing the
American continent with only one stop, is
pressurized and air-conditioned and seats from
4-7, including crew.
The Jet Commander is likewise air-conditioned and pressurized and has a lavatory and
buffet. Powered by two General Electric CJ610
turbojets, it will cruise at over 500 m.p.h.
Several test airframes are in being or nearing
