PEGAS to offer Straight-Through Processing (STP) registration
service for all gas derivatives contracts
Leipzig, Paris, 5 March 2015 – As of 19 March 2015, Powernext members will have
the opportunity, through all major gas brokers, to directly register their over-the-counter
(OTC) transactions as exchange transactions for subsequent clearing with European
Commodity Clearing (ECC). For this, customers can use either Trayport© Clearing Link
or EFETnet eXRP Straight-Through Processing automated solutions.

“This new and straight-forward solution for clearing over-the-counter transactions will
answer the need of market participants for automated and riskless processes. Through
this mechanism, it will be possible to automatically route transactions submitted by a
broker through the exchange into the trading participant’s account at ECC, eliminating
all manual interventions by the brokers and trading participants“.

Straight Through Processing (STP)-solutions to Powernext. With Powernext the second
partner exchange of ECC is using the STP service that was recently enhanced to make
the trade registration process fully automatic.”

ECC in the power derivatives market. This will serve the ambition of PEGAS to deliver
state-of-the-art service for the gas derivatives markets”.
All of the derivatives products currently offered for trading on the PEGAS platform (TTF,
NCG, Gaspool, PEG Nord, PEG Sud and ZTP, as well as associated spreads) will be
available through the STP solutions. On 26 March, new derivatives contracts launched
on PEGAS (NBP, Zeebrugge and PSV) will also become available, as well as the new
market area TRS on 31 March.
The PEGAS STP registration service will be offered by the following seven energy
brokers: GFI, Griffin Markets, ICAP, Marex-Spectron, OTCex, TFS and Tullet Prebon.
No additional fee will be charged to the trading participants for this service.

PEGAS führt Straight-Through Processing (STP)
Registrierungsservice für alle Gasterminkontrakte ein
Leipzig, Paris, 5. März 2015 – Ab dem 19. März 2015 haben Powernext-Teilnehmer
die Möglichkeit, außerbörslich abgeschlossene Transaktionen („over the counter“) über
alle großen Gasbroker als Börsengeschäfte für das anschließende Clearing bei der
European Commodity Clearing (ECC) zu registrieren. Dazu können die Kunden
entweder den Trayport© Clearing Link oder automatisierte Lösungen für das EFETnet
eXRP Straight-Through Processing nutzen.
Jean-Francois CONIL-LACOSTE, Chief Executive Officer der Powernext, erklärt dazu:
„Diese neue und direkte Lösung für das Clearing von OTC-Transaktionen bietet den
Marktteilnehmern die notwendigen automatisierten und risikofreien Prozesse. Über
diesen Mechanismus wird es möglich, durch einen Broker eingereichte Transaktionen
über die Börse an das Konto des Teilnehmers bei der ECC weiterzuleiten. Somit sind
keinerlei manuelle Schritte durch Broker oder Handelsteilnehmer mehr notwendig.“

Der neue STP-Service wird für alle auf der PEGAS-Plattform aktuell zum Handel
angebotenen Terminmarktprodukte (Marktgebiete TTF, NCG, GASPOOL, PEG Nord,
PEG Süd und ZTP sowie die damit verbundenen Spreads) verfügbar sein. Auch die
neuen Terminkontrakte für die Handelspunkte NPB, Zeebrugge und PSV, die am
26. März 2015 starten, sind über die STP-Anbindungen verfügbar, ebenso wie der
Handel im neuen Marktgebiet TRS ab dem 31. März.
Der PEGAS STP-Registrierungsservice wird von den folgenden sieben Energiebrokern
angeboten: GFI, Griffin Markets, ICAP, Marex-Spectron, OTCex, TFS und Tullet
Prebon. Den Handelsteilnehmern entstehen für diese Dienstleistung keine zusätzlichen
Gebühren.

PEGAS propose un nouveau service d’enregistrement pour les
intérêts hors-carnet (STP - Straight-Through Processing) pour
l’ensemble des contrats dérivés gaz
Leipzig, Paris, le 5 mars 2015 – A compter du 19 mars 2015, les membres de
Powernext auront l’opportunité, par le biais de tous les principaux courtiers en gaz
d’enregistrer leurs transactions de gré à gré (over the counter – OTC) en tant que
transactions boursières pour compensation ultérieure par ECC (European Commodity
Clearing), Pour ce faire, les clients pourront utiliser les technologies de traitement direct
automatisé Trayport© Clearing Linkou EFETnet eXRP.
Jean-François CONIL-LACOSTE, Directeur général de Powernext, commente: « Cette
nouvelle solution d’enregistrement direct pour la compensation des transactions OTC
est la réponse au besoin des membres de marché de processus automatisés et sans
risque. Ce mécanisme va permettre de transférer automatiquement les transactions
soumises par un courtier par le biais de la bourse vers le compte de compensation des
participantschez ECC, éliminant les interventions manuelles des courtiers et des
membres de marché ».

L’ensemble des produits dérivés actuellement proposés à la négociation sur la
plateforme PEGAS (TTF, NCG, Gaspool, PEG Nord, PEG Sud et ZTP, de même que
les spreads associés) seront disponibles en STP. Le 26 mars, de nouveaux contrats
dérivés seront lancés sur PEGAS (NBP, Zeebrugge et PSV) et seront également
disponibles en STP, tout comme la nouvelle zone de marché TRS le 31 mars.
Les sept courtiers suivants proposeront le service d’enregistrement STP sur PEGAS :
GFI, Griffin Markets, ICAP, Marex-Spectron, OTCex, TFS et Tullet Prebon. Aucun frais
supplémentaire ne sera demandé aux membres négociateurs pour ce service.
