PEGAS: Successful Launch of Danish ETF
Contracts
Paris, 24 November 2016. PEGAS, the pan-European gas trading platform operated
by Powernext, announces the successful launch of new spot and futures contracts on
the Danish ETF (Exchange Transfer Facility) on Thursday 17 November 2016. This
launch completes the process announced in July 2016 where Powernext acquired
100% of Gaspoint Nordic from EEX and Energinet.dk. Gaspoint Nordic is now an
integral part of the PEGAS offering, a natural evolution towards further integration of the
two companies.
For the go-live date of 17 November, all 13 members of Gaspoint Nordic were admitted
on PEGAS and ready to trade on ETF spot and futures. The total traded volume on ETF
as of Wednesday 23 November has reached 404,880 MWh on the spot segment and
37,200 MWh on the front month contract.
Jacob Pedersen, CEO of Gaspoint Nordic, comments: ‘The feedback of our members is

PEGAS platform where most members are already active.’

PEGAS is the central gas trading platform of EEX Group operated by Powernext.
PEGAS provides its members with access to all products on one single platform and
allows them to trade natural gas contracts in the Belgian, Danish, Dutch, French,

delivery zone will join its platform in Q4 2016. The product range of PEGAS covers spot
and derivatives contracts for the major European gas hubs as well as trading in location

paneuropäische Gashandelsplattform, meldet die erfolgreiche Einführung neuer Spotund Futureskontrakte am dänischen ETF (Exchange Transfer Facility) am vergangenen
Donnerstag, dem 17. November 2016. Mit dieser Einführung wird der im Juli 2016
angekündigte Prozess abgeschlossen, in dessen Rahmen Powernext 100% der Anteile
an der Gaspoint Nordic von der EEX und Energinet.dk erworben hat. Gaspoint Nordic
ist nunmehr ein integraler Bestandteil des PEGAS Angebots – eine natürliche
Entwicklung hin zur weiteren Integration der beiden Unternehmen.
Zum Datum des Go-Live am 17. November waren alle 13 Mitglieder der Gaspoint
Nordic an der PEGAS zugelassen und damit für den ETF Spot- und Futureshandel
bereit. Das an der ETF gehandelte Gesamtvolumen hat zu Mittwoch, dem 23.
November auf dem Spotmarkt 404.880 MWh und im Front-Month-Kontrakt 37.200 GWh
erreicht.

Mitglieder ist sehr positiv, da das Produktangebot nunmehr erweitert und vollständig in
die PEGAS Plattform integriert worden ist, auf der die meisten Teilnehmer bereits aktiv

PEGAS: Lancement réussi des produits
danois ETF
Paris, le 24 novembre 2016. La plateforme paneuropéenne de négociation du gaz
PEGAS, opérée par Powernext SA, annonce le lancement réussi de nouveaux contrats
spot et dérivés sur le marché danois ETF (Exchange Transfer Facility) le jeudi 17
novembre 2016. Ce lancement vient conclure the processus annoncé en juillet 2016 au
cours duquel Powernext acquérait 100% de la participation d’EEX et d’Energinet.dk
dans Gaspoint Nordic. Les produits Gaspoint Nordic font partie intégrante de l’offre de
PEGAS, une évolution naturelle vers l’intégration des deux sociétés.
Pour le lancement le 17 novembre, l’ensemble des 13 membres de Gaspoint Nordic
avait finalisé son adhésion sur PEGAS et était prêt à négocier les produits spot et
futures ETF. Au mercredi 23 novembre, le volume négocié a atteint 404 880 MWh sur
le segment spot et 37 200 MWh sur le contrat Décembre 2016.
Jacob Pedersen, Directeur général de Gaspoint Nordic commente : « Le retour de la
part de nos membres est très positif car l’offre de produits a été élargie et est
complètement intégrée à la plateforme PEGAS sur laquelle la plupart des membres
étaient déjà actifs. »

Nordic et de Powernext ont fait leur maximum pour concrétiser ce lancement dans des
délais très courts. L’intégration d’ETF dans l’offre de PEGAS augmente encore plus la

membres et ainsi que pour le client final. »
PEGAS est la plateforme de négociation centrale de gaz du groupe EEX, opérée par
Powernext. PEGAS propose à ses membres l’accès à tous ses produits sur une
plateforme unique et leur permet de traiter des contrats de gaz naturel dans les zones
de livraison allemande, belge, danoise, française, italienne, néerlandaise et UK.
PEGAS a annoncé que la zone de livraison autrichienne rejoindra sa plateforme au 4ème
trimestre 2016. La gamme des produits de PEGAS couvre des contrats spot et futures
sur les principaux hubs gaziers européens, ainsi que des spreads géographiques entre
