Contenu
Numerous actors (such as air carriers, MRO or specialised companies) design their own major
modifications to be installed onto aircraft. These major modifications, which are not designed
by the type certificate holder of the concerned aircraft, are called STC (supplemental type
certificate).
This course intends to provide a general introduction to the STC concept, in both regulatory
and procedural aspects.
Introduction to the regulatory environment for STC
ICAO requirements for changed products
Reminder on EASA regulations and delegation system
EASA Part 21 subpart E
Presentation of the different actors involved during a change project (DOA,
POA, MOA, CAMO and authorities)
General responsibility for control of aircraft configuration
STC project development and coordination with EASA
Reminder of the DOA documentary system
Demonstration of capability – DOA
Design and certification procedures principles
Issues related to flight tests /permit to fly during an STC development program
