UNIMED is glad to inform you about the new initiative of the Regional Activity Centre for Cleaner
Production (CP/RAC www.cprac.org ) with which UNIMED established a recent collaboration. The CP/RAC
is a centre for international cooperation with Mediterranean countries on development and innovation in
the production sector and civil society, based on more sustainable consumption and production models.
The Centre develops its activity under the Mediterranean Action Plan (MAP) for the protection and
development of the Mediterranean basin, an organisation belonging to the United Nations Environment
Programme (UNEP).
Among its activities, the CP/RAC is developing a Mediterranean Program on Green Entrepreneurship and
Eco-Design. The goal of this program is to support the development of business that create environmental,
social, and economic value. The program is supported with a guide on green entrepreneurship.
The Mediterranean Program on Green Entrepreneurship and Eco-Design supports entrepreneurial people
by providing the tools to take an initial idea for a green product or service. The result is Dynamic Green
Business Plan; a tool that reflects the entrepreneurial process. The program is structured as follows:
- Introduction to green entrepreneurship & strategy;
- Designing green solutions;
- Developing and implementing a sustainable business model;
- Managing a startup;
- Communicating the solution.
So far, the program has been applied this 2012 in several Mediterranean countries with very positive
outcome. These include: Sicily, Spain, Egypt, Tunisia, Lebanon. For 2013, the CP/RAC is looking to expand
and partner with existing centers of entrepreneurship.
CP/RAC is indeed currently exploring partnership with existing Mediterranean institutions that already
provide support to entrepreneurs (i.e. business incubators, universities, or foundations) with the aim to
support as many green entrepreneurs as possible along the Mediterranean to build a green economy.
In the framework of a collaboration with UNIMED, the CP/RAC is thus offering a free of charge 5-day
training for coaches and mentors of the mentioned institutions. During the training program, CP/RAC
personnel instruct on the Mediterranean Program on Green Entrepreneurship and Eco-Design
methodology and guide. This is a very dynamic and participatory training program where coaches and
mentors acquire the knowledge and tools to implement a green entrepreneurship program on their own
their own institution. By participating on this training, your institution gets incorporated on a
Mediterranean network of green entrepreneurship centers that is expected to grow on the year to come.
The CRPAC thus asks UNIMED cooperation to fill in a short survey on their activity focused on green
entrepreneurship.

l’UNIMED è lieta di informarvi della nuova iniziativa del Regional Activity Centre for Cleaner Production
(CP/RAC www.cprac.org ) con il quale abbiamo stabilito recentemente una collaborazione. Il CP/RAC è un
centro per la cooperazione internazionale con i paesi del Mediterraneo per lo sviluppo e l'innovazione nel
settore della produzione e della società civile. Il Centro svolge la propria attività nell'ambito del piano
d'azione per il Mediterraneo (MAP) per la tutela e lo sviluppo del bacino del Mediterraneo,
un'organizzazione appartenente all’United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP).
Tra le sue attività, il CP/RAC sta sviluppando un programma mediterraneo sull’imprenditorialità verde e
eco-design il cui obiettivo è quello di sostenere lo sviluppo di attività finalizzate a creare valore ambientale,
sociale ed economico. Il programma, corredato da una guida verde sull'imprenditorialità, intende sostenere
gli imprenditori, fornendo loro gli strumenti per sviluppare un Dynamic Green Business Plan.
Il programma è strutturato come segue:
- Introduzione all'imprenditorialità verde ed alla sua strategia;
- Progettazione di soluzioni "verdi";
- Sviluppo e implementazione di un modello di business sostenibile;
- Gestione di un avvio di progetto;
- Comunicazione di soluzioni.
Fino ad ora il programma è stato applicato durante il 2012 in diversi paesi del Mediterraneo con esito molto
positivo, tra cui Italia (Sicilia), Spagna, Egitto, Tunisia e Libano. Per il 2013, il CP/RAC intende ampliare la
rete dei beneficiari nonché collaborare anche con centri esistenti di imprenditorialità.
Il CP/RAC sta pertanto cercando partnership con le esistenti istituzioni del Mediterraneo che già forniscono
supporto agli imprenditori (ad esempio incubatori di imprese, le università o fondazioni) con l'obiettivo di
supportare il maggior numero possibile di imprenditori “verdi” in tutto il Mediterraneo per costruire
un'economia verde.
Nel quadro di una collaborazione con l’UNIMED, il CP/ RAC offre quindi un corso di formazione gratuito di 5
giorni per formatori di enti. Si tratta di un programma di formazione molto dinamico e partecipativo in cui
formatori e mentori possono acquisire le conoscenze e gli strumenti adatti per attuare un programma
verde imprenditoriale nella loro istituzione.
Il CRPAC chiede pertanto la collaborazione dell’UNIMED al fine di compilare un breve questionario sulle
attività della loro associazione ed incentrato su questo spirito imprenditoriale “green”.

L’UNIMED a le plaisir de vous informer d’une nouvelle initiative du Centre d'Activités Régionales pour la
Production Propre (CP/RAC www.cprac.org ) avec lequel l’UNIMED a récemment établi une collaboration.
Le CP/RAC est un centre de coopération internationale avec les pays méditerranéens sur le développement
et l'innovation dans le secteur de la production et de la société civile, basé sur une consommation et des
modèles de production plus durables. Le Centre développe son activité dans le cadre du Plan d'action pour
la Méditerranée (PAM) pour la protection et le développement du bassin méditerranéen, une organisation
appartenant au Programme des Nations Unies pour l'environnement (PNUE).
Parmi ses activités, le CP/RAC a élaboré un programme méditerranéen pour l'entrepreneuriat vert et l’
écoconception. Le but de ce programme est de soutenir le développement des entreprises qui créent de la
valeur environnementale, sociale et économique. Le programme est soutenu par un guide sur
l'entrepreneuriat vert.
Le Programme Méditerranéen sur l'entrepreneuriat vert et l’écoconception prend en charge les
entrepreneurs en leur fournissant les outils nécessaires pour la réalisation une idée initiale d'un produit ou
d'un service vert. Le résultat est le Dynamic Green Business Plan, un outil qui reflète le processus
entrepreneurial. Le programme est structuré comme il suit:
- Introduction à l'entrepreneuriat vert et la stratégie ;
- Concevoir des solutions vertes ;
- Développer et mettre en œuvre un modèle d'entreprise durable ;
- Gestion d'un démarrage ;
- Communiquer la solution.
Jusqu'à présent, le programme a été appliqué en 2012 dans plusieurs pays méditerranéens avec des
résultats très positifs. Il s'agit notamment de: la Sicile, l'Espagne, l'Egypte, la Tunisie, le Liban, Pour 2013, ils
cherchons à étendre et de collaborer avec les centres existants de l'entrepreneuriat.
Le CP/RAC est en train d'étudier des partenariats avec des institutions méditerranéennes qui offrent déjà
un soutien aux entrepreneurs (à savoir les universités ou les fondations) dans le but de soutenir autant que
possible les entrepreneurs verts pour construire une économie verte de la Méditerranée.
Dans le cadre d'une collaboration avec l’UNIMED, le CP/RAC offre ainsi un cours de formation gratuit de 5
jours pour les entraîneurs et les mentors des institutions mentionnées. Au cours du programme de
formation, le personnel CP/RAC offre des instructions sur le Programme méditerranéen sur
l'entrepreneuriat vert et la méthodologie d'écoconception. Il s'agit d'un programme de formation très
dynamique et participatif où les entraîneurs et les mentors peuvent acquérir les connaissances et les outils
à mettre en œuvre un programme d'entrepreneuriat vert pour leur propre institution. En participant à
cette formation, votre établissement sera incorporé dans un réseau méditerranéen des centres
d'entrepreneuriat vert, qui devrait se développer sur l'année à venir.
Le CP/RAC demande également la coopération de l'UNIMED et vous demande ainsi de remplir un bref
questionnaire sur leur activités axée sur l'entrepreneuriat vert.
