The special meeting for the Council of the
Village of Rexton was held in the Council
Chambers.
La réunion spéciale du Conseil du Village de
Rexton a été tenue à la salle du Conseil.
PRESENT: The Mayor, David L. Hanson;
Councillors Albert Corcoran, William Flanagan,
Lisa Warman and Elaine Warren and General
Manager, Barry Glencross.

CALL TO ORDER: The Mayor David L. Hanson
called the meeting to order at 6:15 p.m.

APPROVAL OF THE AGENDA: It was moved by
Albert Corcoran and seconded by Lisa Warman
that the agenda be approved. Motion carried.
ADOPTION DE L’ORDRE DU JOUR: Albert
Corcoran propose, et Lisa Warman appuie,
que l’ordre du jour soit accepté. Proposition

BUSINESS ARISING FROM THE MINUTES
AFFAIRES DÉCOULANT DU PROCÈS VERBAL
a) CAO Position: It was moved by William
Flanagan and seconded by Elaine Warren that
the present General Manager, Barry Glencross,
be appointed Chief Administrative Officer of the
Village of Rexton under the terms and
conditions as indicated within the Employee
Manual. Motion carried.
a) Poste du dirigeant principal de
l’administration: William Flanagan propose,
et Elaine Warren appuie, que le présent
directeur général, Barry Glencross, soit
nommé le dirigeant principal de
l’administration pour le Village de Rexton
sous les conditions indiqué dans le manuel
de l’employé. Proposition adoptée.
b) Employee Pension: Discussions were held on
retiring employee pension conditions as stated
in the Employee Manual.

discussions ont porté sur les conditions
associées à la pension de retraite pour un
employé qui se retire tel qu’indiqué dans le
manuel de l’employé.
c) Group Health Plan: Discussions were held on
retiring employee health plan conditions as
stated in the Employee Manual. General
Manager, Barry Glencross, announced his
intentions to keep his Group Health Insurance as
long as allowed within the conditions of the
employee manual, which is also subject to the
Health Plan Carriers terms and conditions.
c) Régime de santé collective: Des
discussions ont porté sur les conditions
associées aux régimes de santé pour un
employé qui se retire tel qu’indiqué dans le
manuel de l’employé. Le directeur général,
Barry Glencross, a annoncé ses intentions de
garder son assurance-santé collective autant
qu’allouer dans le manuel de l’employé,
assujettit aux conditions de la société du
régime de santé.
d) Personal Computer: It was moved by Albert
Corcoran and seconded by Lisa Warman that the
PC and Laptop Computers, identified as
personally used by the GM, be left with the GM
upon his retirement. However, this is subject to
municipal business being properly removed.
Motion carried.
d) Ordinateur personnel: Albert Corcoran
propose, et Lisa Warman appuie, que
l’ordinateur personnel et portable, utilisé
par le directeur général, soient emmenés
avec le directeur général à sa retraite.
L’ensemble des affaires municipales,
toutefois, doit être correctement enlevé.

e) Email: Information was shared concerning
the village’s present email system. As well, for
privacy and overall security of municipal affairs,
it was suggested by the General Manager that
the system needs to be reviewed and there
should be a policy put in place in the future in
regards to electronic media devices, etc.
e) Courriel: Des renseignements ont été
communiqués à propos de l’actuel system
de courriel du village. Ainsi que l’ensemble
des affaires municipales relatives à la
protection de la vie privée et la sécurité
globale, le directeur général a proposé que
ce système ait besoin d’être examiné et de
mettre en place une politique à l’avenir pour
les appareils électroniques, etc.
f) Sick Leave and Holiday Benefits: The General
Manager updated Council on his status with
regards to Sick and Holiday Benefits. It was
agreed to table any further decision on subject
until a proposal can be put forward to Council
and this should take place in the very near
future.
f) Congés de maladie et vacances: Le
directeur général a informé le Conseil de sa
situation de congés de maladie et vacances.
Il fut convenu d’ajourner toute autre
décision touchant ce sujet jusqu’à ce qu’une
proposition peux être présentée au Conseil
et devrait se dérouler très prochainement.
