«Airpainting at Zurich Airport»

On 1st September, Swatch launched a new artistic project entitled
«Swatch Loves Art - Zurich AirPainting» situated in the heart of Zurich
Airport. Travellers waiting for flights can paint on canvases available
in the terminal, contemplate an exclusive overhead art installation,
and admire «live» the work of eight young Swiss artists competing for
two Swatch awards specially created for the occasion.
«Swatch Loves Art - Zurich AirPainting» is present at stands dotted
throughout the airport, where passengers can express their ideas on
large canvases if the mood takes them. These spaces of artistic creation are united by the theme of Swissness and embody to perfection
the latest Swatch collection, «Gruezi All!»
The firm, based in Bienne, has also invited the Franco-American artist
Stephen Dean to exhibit a most extraordinary artwork: a colossal installation consisting of coloured dichroic glass and aluminium suspended
above the heads of passengers crossing the terminal. With this spectacular work, Stephen Dean infuses the space with the very essence of
Swatch: emotions, joie de vivre, colours and lightness. The motifs and
sculptural scale invite travellers to enter a world of poetry and colour.
As part of its project to support young artists, Swatch has recruited
eight young painters who will work on large canvases installed in
the airport under the eyes of waiting passengers. Selected by Stephen Dean and Carlo Giordanetti, the creative director of Swatch,
the winner of the «Swatch Award» will be invited to visit Venice
and the Biennale Arte 2015, with access to both Swatch Pavilions
(Arsenale and Giardini). The eight works exhibited at the airport
will be put to a public vote on social networks.
The «Swatch Loves Art - Zurich AirPainting» stands are available to
travellers until 27 September. O
MPS Décolletage
Nouvelle unité inaugurée à Court
Le 4 septembre dernier, MPS Décolletage a inauguré sa nouvelle
usine destinée au décolletage dans le secteur industriel du Chaluet, à Court. Trois sites de production ont ainsi été réunis sous
ce nouveau toit qui offre actuellement 39 postes de travail. Cet
environnement de haut niveau, s’étalant sur quelque 3’400 m2,
offre au groupe MPS une possibilité d’expansion à la hauteur de
sa stratégie, permettant à la maison mère de disposer d’un centre
de compétences en décolletage de premier ordre.

Ce nouvel outil performant offre la possibilité de réaliser des
pièces terminées pour l’horlogerie et les micromoteurs, ainsi que
des composants destinés au médical et la connectique. De plus,
grâce à une surface importante de panneaux solaires, près de
165’000 KW par année seront produits.
Le groupe MPS, composé de MPS Micro Precision Systems SA,
MPS Décolletage SA et MPS Precimed SA, fondée en 1936 sous le
nom RMB et acquis en 2003 par le Groupe Faulhaber (Schönaich,
Allemagne), a son siège à Bienne, et emploie aujourd’hui près de
400 personnes dans le domaine du médical, de l’horlogerie et de
l’industrie microtechnique.

1929 à Court et a acquis Marius Gerber SA en 2011 (Sorvilier) et

New unit opened in Court
On 4 September, MPS Décolletage opened its new prowile-turning
plant in the Le Chaluet industrial zone, in Court. Three production
units have now been brought together at the new site, which currently employs 39 people. This high-level environment covering an
area of around 3,400 square metres offers the MPS group expansion possibilities in line with its strategy and provides the parent
company with a skills centre of the highest calibre in the field of
profile-turning.
This efficient new factory is capable of producing finished parts for
the watch industry, as well as micromotors and components for the
medical industry and connector technology. In addition, thanks to
a large installation of solar panels, nearly 165,000 KW of electricity
will be produced each year.
The MPS group, composed of MPS Micro Precision Systems SA, MPS
Décolletage SA and MPS Precimed SA, founded in 1936 under the
name RMB and acquired in 2003 by the Faulhaber Group (Schönaich,
Germany), has its headquarters in Bienne, and today employs nearly
400 people in the medical, micro-engineering and watch industries.

TAG Heuer
Let’s Rock on the Top of Europe
Un événement unique s’est tenu le 31 août dernier sur le «Top of
Europe»: TAG Heuer a invité une star de la chanson chinoise, la
compositrice, danseuse, musicienne et actrice G.E.M. («Get Eve-
rybody Moving»), à se produire sur le glacier de la Jungfraujoch
devant un parterre de plus de 200 Chinois venus tout spécialement
de Chine et des quatre coins d’Europe.
Phénomène générationnel dans son pays et dans toute l’Asie en
général, G.E.M. est jeune, belle et talentueuse, possède une voix
puissante, un look toujours recherché, et à seulement 24 ans, elle
est admirée par les jeunes qui connaissent ses chansons par cœur.
A l’invitation de TAG Heuer, G.E.M. a décidé de venir se produire en
Suisse. Et comme à son habitude, c’est une mise en scène disruptive qu’elle a pensée dans les moindres détails avec la marque
chaux-de-fonnière, dont elle est l’ambassadrice depuis le début
de l’année 2015. Arrivée en hélicoptère après un survol des Alpes
suisses, elle a été accueillie par Jean-Claude Biver, président de la
Division Montres du groupe LVMH et CEO de TAG Heuer.
Sur la scène en forme du logo TAG Heuer posée à même la neige,
elle a présenté la nouvelle Formula 1 Steel & Ceramic Special Edition
Watch G.E.M., agrémentée d’une touche de rose, et a chanté ses
principaux titres, dont bien sûr les tubes Someday I’ll Fly, Intoxicated and Heartbeat: une vraie performance physique à cette altitude.
Evidemment, personne n’a résisté au bonheur des clichés suisses
pour finir ce moment unique: les chiens de la vallée - des bouviers
