enhancing the expression of their terroir or interfering with it? France,
one of the world’s key producers of high quality wines, offers examples
from both sides, and beyond the common Bordeaux VS Burgundy, let’s

In the heart of the village of Pierry, the Mandois family has preserved its unique winemaking
expertise since 1735. The Domaine owns outstanding terroirs that produce distinctive and
well-balanced wines thanks to their exceptional heritage.
With forty hectares of vineyards, the most beautiful Chardonnay parcels and a unique
Clos planted with Pinot Meunier, Champagne Mandois’ domaine is truly exceptional. The
prestigious «Clos Mandois» forms the basis of the Domaine’s identity.
Mandois Champagnes are expressive, generous, lightly-dosed and reflect an elegant
“House” style. As the ninth generation at the Domaine, Claude Mandois continues to
preserve the family tradition of humility, discretion and winemaking expertise.

Organically grown since 1997, our 25 hectares of old vine domain is planted with Melon
de Bourgogne. Our wines are aged on their lees, partly in old oak barrels with low sulphur
added.
Emeline and Jérôme, wine and land lovers, set up in 2014. As agronomists, they were
charmed by the terroir, the vines and the wine, and they want to help express the best of
nature. Today they propose three different organic Muscadet Sèvre-et-Maine sur lie which
are round and fruity dry white wines.

Domaine du Chardonnay operates a vineyard of 38 hectares. Only grapes harvested on the
estate are vinified and aged in the winery. Every year, the Domaine tries to show the best of
Chablis. Our philosophy is based on the ancestral respect for the vineyard, the grape and
the wines. Every vintage is different, this is why we adjust our work on the winery or in the
vineyard in order to show the best of each Vintage.
The 2014 Chablis 1er Cru Vaillons, from 20 years old vines with a crop of 58 hectoliters
per hectare, has an attractive apricot blossom and slate-scented bouquet that opens
beautifully in the glass. The palate is well balanced with crisp acidity, admirable depth and
with layers of finely tuned citrus fruit mixed with walnut and smoke on the finish. This is a
fine addition to the canon of superb 2014s (Robert Parker 91points).

Domaine de l’Audigère lies in the south-west of Nantes in the heart of the «Muscadet de
Sèvre et Maine» appellation. On the 17th century, l’Audigère was a domaine of feudal lords
and a court of law. It was also one of the Sévigné Family’s properties. It was composed of
five vineyards covering 11 hecatares. Today, the vineyard extends to over 84 hectares. The
subsoil is made of ancient soils of gabbro-type rock of the region.
The wine is traditionally vinified and pressed with Busher pneumatic presses. Fermentation
is temperature-controlled. The wine is matured in stainless steel vats and remains on the
lees for at least six months. It is then bottled on the estate.
L’Audigère produces wines of character, that are rich and pleasant.

Terroirs et talents is a commercial association of several family Estates between Beaujolais and
Mâconnais. The origins of the association is first and foremost a story of friendship between Hervé
Dupond and Xavier Barbet. Their families have been present in the Beaujolais region since 1580 and
1711 respectively. In 2007, they came together and created the association. Gregory Barbet joined the
project in 2015.
Château de la Terriere is located in Cercie, facing the Mont Brouilly. It was bought by the Barbet family
in 2003. In 2009, the quality of the grapes was superb and Frederic, the master craftman, decided to
push the envelope further and created a «natural» batch with grapes from the area called « La Siberie»
in the Regnié Appellation. This method of winemaking and ageing requires no addition of sulphites.

Domaine de la Solitude has one of the longest history in the Rhône Valley. Our estate took
its name from the lieu-dit «La Solitude», in the heart of Châteauneuf, which is where much
of our vineyards are planted. Our goal is to pick the fruit at its peak of ripeness, and to use
a minimalist approach in the cellar. We respect our land and farm everything sustainably
without chemical fertilisers.

The TAILLAN Group (€180 million in sales, 350 employees) was founded in 1961 by Jacques
Merlaut. It is headed today by his son Denis Merlaut. The family-run company has grown
through the acquisition of three trading houses:
Joseph Verdier: Nested in the heart of the Loire Valley vineyards since 1927, Verdier House
has been driven ever since by the passion of the vine and wine. Today it is an internationally
recognized Winehouse.
La Compagnie Rhodanienne: Located in the heart of the Rhône Valley, halfway between
Languedoc and Provence, La Compagnie Rhodanienne is surrounded by historic sites
(Pont du Gard and Pont d’Avignon) and the most renowned appellations of the Rhône
Valley (Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Gigondas, Tavel, etc.).
Maison Ginestet: Located on the right bank of the Garonne river at Carignan-de-Bordeaux
since 1980, Maison Ginestet now has around one hundred employees, including a sizeable
and mobile sales team specialising in great Bordeaux wines.

The Verdier company was created in 1927 by Joseph Verdier. It grew from father to son
to become in the mid-sixties a national well known trading house. When, in 1965, the
company joined forces with the Bordeaux Taillan group, mass distribution becomes its main
customer and Joseph Verdier developed its export market. The bottling site of MontreuilBellay was inaugurated in 1967 and produces nowadays 16 million bottles per year.

Chateau d’Agel fuses the character of an exceptional and diversified terroir together with
the passion of men in love with wine and wine growing.
On a magnificent limestone on the Terroir de Cazelles, we create wines that are pleasurable
to drink and which have a silkiness and richness of character derived from the southern
French grape varieties which absorb the elements of warm winds and sun.
Château d’Agel «In Extremis» 2013: selection of the best vineyards located on the terroir
de Cazelles, which is composed of hard and soft limestone splitters. 85% Syrah, 15%

TerraVentoux was born in 2003 after the merger between two cooperatives at Mormoiron
and Villes sur Auzon. Throughout the years, our knowledge and quality have become more
accurate. Harvest selection on parcels, terroirs, vineyards age and grape varieties make
wines with a wide range of taste and aromatic profiles.
Vintage 2016 benefited from exceptional weather conditions. The grapes were therefore
collected at their optimal maturity. The particularly dry conditions during summer allowed
the vines to be in an excellent state, for the bays as well as for the foliage. 2016 looks very
promising!
