ROBIN SELIGMAN – CANADIAN BARRISTER AND SOLICITOR – Certified as a
Specialist in Immigration law by the Law Society of Upper Canada
Robin Seligman obtained her law degree from the University of Western
Ontario and was called to the Bar in 1985. She has been certified as a
specialist in Immigration Law by the Law Society of Upper Canada since
1995. She served as the Chair of the Canadian Bar Association of Ontario,
Citizenship and Immigration Section for three years commencing in l998
until 2001.
She is a past Chair of the CBA National Citizenship and Immigration Section.
She has served on the Executive for the Canadian Bar Association National
Section for the past 13 years.
She has chaired programs and spoken
extensively for various organizations on the topic of Canadian Immigration
Law including The Canadian Bar Association, Seneca College, Insight and
the Law Society of Upper Canada. She has also served on advisory groups
for numerous Ministers’ of Citizenship and Immigration and has appeared at
Parliamentary Committees on Immigration issues.
Robin is quoted
regularly in the Canadian national newspapers and has appeared on the CBC
and other television stations as well being a guest speaker on many radio
programs.
Her area of expertise include: Advising companies and individuals on how to
obtain work permits for Canada, permanent resident immigration including
skilled workers, business immigration, family re-unification, humanitarian
applications, Citizenship Applications, Immigration Appeal Division and
Federal Court litigation.
