Située à proximité de Paris, la ville de Gagny organise la deuxième édition du
Concours International de Piano ‐ "Ville de Gagny". Ouvert aux jeunes pianistes
jusqu'à 28 ans révolus, de toutes nationalités, particulièrement talentueux et
motivés, qui souhaitent, non seulement faire évaluer leur niveau par l’écoute
attentive d'un Jury composé de personnalités du monde musical et se
confronter à d’autres candidats venant de cultures et d’horizons différents,
mais aussi réaliser une expérience positive dans de véritables conditions
professionnelles.

Located near Paris, the town of Gagny organizes the second edition of the
International Piano Competition – “Town of Gagny”. Open to young pianists up
to 28 years of age, irrespective of nationality, particularly talented and
motivated, who wish to get not only an evaluation of their skills by a jury
composed of artists jurors from the musical world, and the opportunity to
interact with other candidates from varied cultures and backgrounds, but also
to get a positive meaningful experience in a true professional venue.

Un candidat ayant obtenu un Premier Prix dans une catégorie ne pourra pas se représenter, lors
de la suivante édition du concours, dans la même catégorie.
Les candidats ne pourront pas s’inscrire dans deux catégories la même année.
Le concours est ouvert aux candidats de toutes nationalités.
DATES
Le concours se déroulera du 14 au 17 avril 2015
Le 17 avril, à 20h30, aura lieu la remise des prix et le concert des Lauréats.
Les candidats seront avertis par courrier ou par mail de leur heure de répétition et de passage.
LIEU
Toutes les épreuves auront lieu dans la grande salle du Théâtre municipal André Malraux de la ville
de Gagny (700 places), 1 bis, rue Guillemeteau 93220 GAGNY.

Le Jury et le Comité Artistique du Concours sont composés de personnalités du monde musical
international, d’artistes et de professeurs renommés.
Si l'un des Membres du Jury est ou a été professeur d’un candidat il s’abstiendra de le juger.

Tirage au sort de la lettre de référence : lorsque les inscriptions et présélections seront closes, le
Comité Artistique du Concours tirera au sort une lettre qui déterminera l’ordre de passage de
tous les candidats par catégorie. Nous procéderons par ordre alphabétique, en commençant par
la lettre tirée au sort.
Le candidat indiquera sur le bulletin d’inscription la durée de chaque œuvre de son programme.
Toutes les épreuves sont ouvertes au public et peuvent être enregistrées et télévisées
partiellement ou totalement à la seule initiative de l’organisateur du concours. Pour toutes les
retransmissions radiophoniques et télévisées de prestations au Concours, le candidat cède tous
ses droits.
Les frais de voyages et d’hébergement seront à la charge des candidats.
Le concours pourra fournir une lettre d’invitation aux candidats ayant besoin d’un visa.
Les décisions du Jury sont sans appel.
Le non respect du règlement entrainera l'élimination du candidat.
En cas de contestation, le texte français du règlement fait foi.

Une pause de 5 minutes est autorisée (seulement pour le niveau Grand Prix) lors de l’exécution du programme, au moment désiré par le candidat.
Pour toutes les catégories :
Les œuvres seront jouées sans les reprises et exécutées obligatoirement de mémoire.
Le Comité Artistique et le Jury se réservent le droit de demander aux candidats de fournir certaines partitions.
Le Jury se réserve le droit d’interrompre le candidat.
Le piano du concours sera un Steinway D (grand concert).
PRIX/RECOMPENSES

Pour chaque catégorie, le Jury distribuera un Premier Prix, un Deuxième Prix et un Troisième Prix.
Le Jury se réserve le droit de ne pas décerner de 1er Prix ou de donner un Prix ex aequo. En cas
d'ex‐aequo, la récompense financière sera partagée.
Pour les catégories « Jeunes Talents » et « Jeunes Solistes », une récompense financière sera
donnée au candidat ayant reçu le maximum de points ! Ce lauréat sera nommé "1er Prix Jeunes
Talents" ou "1er Prix Jeunes Solistes", en fonction de la catégorie. D'autres candidats pourront
obtenir un 1er Prix seul, sans récompense financière. Les autres candidats seront récompensés par
un diplôme (Deuxième ou Troisième Prix).
Pour les catégories « Jeunes Concertistes » et « Grand Prix », une récompense financière sera
donnée au Premier, Deuxième et Troisième Prix.
Tous les candidats recevront un Diplôme de participation.

Lauréats le 17 avril au soir.

Les œuvres interprétées sur l'enregistrement audio/vidéo peuvent figurer au programme du
concours. Aucun document ne sera restitué.
Les dossiers et les enregistrements seront soumis au Comité Artistique du Concours qui est
composé de personnalités du monde musical international, d’artistes et de professeurs
renommés.
Le Comité artistique du concours communiquera aux candidats l’acceptation du dossier, au plus
tard le 15 février 2015.
Les candidats qui ne seront pas retenus lors de la sélection par l'enregistrement audio/vidéo
seront remboursés de 50 € par chèque ou virement bancaire.
L’inscription sera définitive à réception du paiement. Nous confirmerons la réception du

DATES
The Competition will last from 14th April to 17th April 2015
On 17th April at 20:30 will take place the award ceremony and the concert of prizewinners.
Candidates will be informed by mail about their rehearsals, and performance time.

The Jury and the artistic committee are made up of figures of the international musical world.
If one member of the Jury is or was a contestant’s teacher, he/she will not participate in the
vote.

When registration will be closed, the Competition’s Artistic Committee will draw a letter that
will determine the order of passage of the candidates for each category. We will proceed by
alphabetical order, starting from the drawn letter.
The candidates shall mention on the registration form the duration of each work of their
programme.
All auditions are open to the public and can be recorded and partially or completely
broadcasted by simple request of the organizer of the competition. For all radio and TV
broadcasts, the candidate transfers all interpretation rights for the performances at the
Competition.
Expenses for the trip and accommodations are under the responsibility of the participant.
Applicants who require a visa will receive an official invitation upon request.
The decisions of the panel are final.
Non respect of these rules may forbid a candidate to participate to the competition.
In the event of dispute, the French text prevails.

A break of 5 minutes is allowed in this category only! The candidate may freely choose the moment when to use it.
For all categories :
Works will be played without repeat, and by memory.
The Artistic Committee and the Jury have the right to ask the contestants to provide some of the scores.
The Jury may interrupt the candidate.
Steinway (concert grand) is the official piano of the competition.

PRIZES/AWARDS For each category, the Jury will award a First Prize, a Second Prize and a Third Prize. The Jury has the
right not to give the First Prize and to share a prize. In case of ex‐aequo (tie), the financial award will
be shared.
For the categories "Young Talents" and "Young Soloists", the financial award will be given to the
candidate who got the maximum points ! This Laureate will be named "1st Prize "Young Talents" or
1st Prize "Young Soloists", depending on the category. Some other candidates can obtain a 1st Prize,
without financial award. The other candidates will be awarded by a Diploma (Second, or Third
Prize).
For categories "Young Performers" and "Grand Prix", a financial award will be given to the First,
Second and Third Prize.
All the candidates will receive a diploma of participation.
