Àlvaro Siza, grand architecte et Prix Pritzker 1992, a accepté d’inaugurer cette collection
inédite d’édition de dessins d’architecte. Avec dix dessins autour du thème de l’ancrage, il
nous emmène dans son univers sensible. Chaque dessin représente un projet emblématique
imaginé par Àlvaro Siza : la sublime piscine au bord de l’océan à Leça da Palmeira et l’Ecole
d’architecture de Porto en sont deux exemples.
Les dessins d’Àlvaro Siza font l’objet de trois éditions limitées en sérigraphie signées,
numérotées. La première est un coffret en bouleau massif conçu par Àlvaro Siza accompagné
d’un dessin original. Les séries suivantes sont des coffrets toilés et proposent les sérigraphies
soit uniquement numérotées, soit numérotées et signées
Trois jeunes architectes font face aux traits d’Àlvaro Siza. Des maquettes pensées par
l’agence Tank et par Camilo Rebelo, expriment une autre façon de poser une architecture,
de matérialiser une pensée, de s’ancrer sur un territoire. Une vidéo « dessinée » de Nicolas
Reymond répond aux œuvres de Siza, un hommage et une autre vision pour des architectures d’un nouveau siècle. Ces pièces sont mises en vente sous forme de multiples.
The great architect and 1992 Pritzker Prize winner Àlvaro Siza has agreed to inaugurate this
exceptional collection of architectural drawings. He transports us into his sensitive universe
through ten drawings that explore the theme of anchoring, or the way in which the architect
reacts to a territory. Each drawing represents an emblematic project conceived by Àlvaro Siza:
the sublime, ocean-side swimming pool at Leça da Palmeira and the School of Architecture at
Porto are but two examples.
Àlvaro Siza’s drawings will be issued in three limited editions of signed and numbered
prints. The first series will take the form of an original drawing presented in a solid birch box
designed by Àlvaro Siza. The following series will consist of numbered and signed, or just
numbered prints contained within canvas boxes.
Three young architects provide dialogue with the pen strokes of Àlvaro Siza. Models designed
by the agency Tank and by Camilo Rebelo express another way of situating architecture,
of materializing a thought, of achieving anchorage in a territory. A video “drawn” by Nicolas
Reymond responds to Siza’s work, a homage and another vision for architectures for a new
century. These pieces will be available in a limited edition.
