Agenda and Homework
•
Agenda is a means of communication between parents and teachers
•
Plastic pocket in agenda as well as homework must be checked daily
•
Agenda must be initialled every day by a parent
•
Children must come to school with all of their homework neatly done and with all the
necessary writing materials
•
All tests must be signed and returned the following day
Discipline

If misconduct occurs, a note will be written in the agenda
Loss of privilege: class rewards, recess
Continued misbehaviour results with a phone call

Numbers Workbook A and B : to be used mainly for homework

Math Challenge: (gr.3) to be used for Math drills (knowledge of basic facts)

Français (45%)
Le programme de français de 3e année a comme principaux objectifs de développer les compétences de l’élève
en :
a) Communication orale (discussions, présentations préparées ou non, dialogues, etc…)
b) Lecture et compréhension de textes (textes de différentes sources)
c) Écriture (productions de textes variés)
- L’aspect écriture englobe aussi la grammaire. Les principaux éléments d’une phrase seront abordés,
tels que le groupe du nom (déterminants, nom, adjectifs) et ses accords ainsi que l’introduction au
groupe du verbe
Évaluation : Mots de vocabulaire, dictées, dictées collectives, lectures et questions de compréhensions,
tests de grammaire, présentations orales, situations d’écriture.
Devoirs : Lectures, exercices de grammaire, mots de vocabulaire, projets, etc…
Univers social (120 min/sem)
En Univers social, les élèves développeront les compétences suivantes :
a) Comprendre l’organisation d’une société sur son territoire
b) Expliquer les changements d’une société
c) Prendre conscience de la diversité des sociétés
Ouvrage de référence : Panache
Évaluation : Exercices en classe, tests, projets
Devoirs : feuilles d’exercices ou cahier d’activités (au besoin)
Sciences et technologies (60 min/sem)
En Sciences, les trois domaines suivants seront à l’étude : l’univers matériel, la terre et l’espace, l’univers
vivant.
Ouvrage de référence : Sciences Tech (cahiers a, b, c)
Évaluation : Exercices en classe, observation, tests, expériences
Devoirs : Exercices selon le besoin
Arts plastiques (60 min/sem)
À travers les Arts plastiques, les élèves auront la chance de :
a) Réaliser différents projets d’arts personnels en utilisant différentes techniques
b) D’apprécier les œuvres de leurs pairs en s’exprimant avec les termes appropriés
Ouvrage de référence : Imago (programme suivi en classe)
Évaluation : projets d’arts
Devoirs : terminer un projet si nécessaire
Ethics (60 min/sem, taught in English)
During Ethics class, the students will have a chance to reflect on ethical questions and understand the
phenomenon of religion.
Reference Book : Around Us (in school)
Evaluation : In-class activities
Homework : completion of in-class activities (if needed)
