PSLResearchUniversityandTechnionsignaninternationalcooperationagreement
PresidentThierryCoulhonoftheParisSciencesetLettresResearchUniversity(PSL)andProfessor
WayneKaplan,Vice-PresidentofTechnion–IsraelInstituteofTechnology,signedanagreementon
December14thtoestablishcooperationfortraining,research,innovation,andentrepreneurship.
The partnership was formalized at the annual Technion France event, "Applying Big Data" at the
MaisondelaChimie.
The agreement consummates a long and fruitful relationship between members of PSL and
Technion,particularlyinthefieldsofBioTech,BioMed,andBigData.
The new cooperation agreement will enable further progress by developing student exchange
programs,integratingguestacademicstaffandresearchersintoresearchandtrainingprojects,and
by increasing scientific cooperation and value-creation opportunities for patents and intellectual
property.
Thefirstpartnershipinitiative:aforeign-studytriptoIsraelinthesecondsemesterof2016forforty
students from PSL-ITI (Institute of Technology and Innovation), an original research and training
program at Paris Sciences et Lettres, which offers an international doctorate focusing on
multidisciplinarystudies,innovation,andentrepreneurship.Forafewdays,thePSL-ITIstudentswill
discover the rich Technion ecosystem by visiting innovative laboratories, start-ups, business
incubators,andmore.

andacademicadvancesthatwillbeofbenefittoourstudents,aswellastoscienceandtechnology
