Die Produkte Latexcos in Standard- und Naturausführung
entsprechen den “Eurolatex Eco Standard”-Normen. Die Tests
wurden vom “Deutschen Teppich Forschungsinstitut e.v”. (T.F.I.)
in Aachen durchgeführt. Unsere Produkte erfüllen hiermit die
Umweltkriterien für die Zuerkennung des Ecolabel gemäß der
europäischen Richtlinie (2002/740/EG).
Les produits Latexco en latex standard et naturel répondent
aux normes “Eurolatex Eco Standard”. Les testes sont effectués
par le “Deutsches Teppich Forschungsinstitut e.v.” (T.F.I.) établi
à Aix-la-Chapelle. Par conséquent, nos produits répondent aux
critères de l’environnement pour l’attribution de l’Ecolabel,
selon les directives européennes (2002/740/CE).
I prodotti Latexco di tipo standard e naturale sono conformi alle
norme “Eurolatex Eco Standard”. L’attestazione è confermata
dai test eseguiti dal “Deutsches Teppich Forschungsinstitut
cv.”(T.F.I.) ad Aquisgrana. I nostri prodotti rispondono quindi
ai criteri ambientalisti sanciti dalle direttive europee per

Vom Morton Thiokol Research and Development Insitute in
Massachusetts durchgeführte Prüfungen bestätigen, dass die
Latexschaumprodukte Latexcos eine schimmelabweisende
und bakterizide Wirkung haben. Letztgenanntes wird im
Bericht Nr. 87-304, wo schimmel und Bakterien rund um die
Latexschaummuster abgebrochen werden, nachgewiesen.
Neueste von Centexbel in Belgien durchgeführte
Untersuchungen, führten zu folgenden Berichten: Bericht
8375 (2008) betont die schimmelabweisenden Eigenschaften
von Latex. Daneben weist Bericht 8276 (2008) die AntiHausstaubmilbe- Eigenschaften von Latex nach.
Des testes effectués par l’institut de recherche et de
développement Morton Thiokol de Massachusetts démontrent
que les produits de Latexco ont un effet fongicide et
bactéricide. Le rapport n 87-304, dans lequel des moissures
et des bactéries sont éliminées autour des échantillons de
latex, en est témoin. Des études plus récentes, effectuées par
Centexbel en Belgique, aboutissent dans les rapports suivants:
rapport 8375 (200) souligne clairement les caractéristiques
fongicides du latex. Le rapport 8276 (2008) démontre les
qualités anti acarien du latex.

di lattice di Latexco possiedono efficaci caratteristiche anitbatteriche ed anti-muffa. Prova di ciò è il rapporto n° 87-304 che
attesta queste importanti qualità dei nostri materassi. Ricerche
e prove più recenti, eseguite da Centexbel in Belgio, hanno
confermato altri risultati: il rapporto 8375 (2008) che evidenzia
chiaramente le qualità anti-fungine del lattice; e il rapporto 8276
(2008) che indica le caratteristiche anti-acaro della polvere dei
materassi in lattice.

Forschung nach der Dauerhaftigkeit und der Elastizität
der Produkte Latexcos gemäß den Richtlinien der LGA
(Landesgewerbeantstalt Bayern) und den aktuellen
europäischen Normen resultierte in einem Ergebnis von 100
Prozent. Der Mindestwert zur Erlangung eines LGAZertifikates
beträgt 80 Prozent. Diese Tests zeigen, dass unsere Produkte
sich im Bereich der Dauerhaftigkeit und der Elastizität, und die
Dauerhaftigkeitskriterien für die Zuerkennung des Ecolabel
gemäß der europäischen Richtlinie (2002/740/EG) erfüllen.
L’examen des caractéristiques physiques des produits
« Latexco », selon les directives LGA (Landesgewerbe-antstalt
Bayern) et la normalisation européenne actuelle, a donné
un résultat de 100%. La valeur minimale pour l’obtention du
certificat LGA est de 80%. Ces testes prouvent que nos produits
sont excellents au niveau de la durabilité et de l’élasticité et
qu’ils répondent aux critères de durabilité pour l’attribution de
l’Ecolabel, selon les directives européennes (2002/740/CE).
La ricerca sulle caratteristiche fisiche dei prodotti Latexco, sulla
base delle direttive LGA (Landesgewerbeantstal Bayern) e della
normativa europea in vigore, attesta un risultato del 100%. Il
valore richiesto dalla LGA è 80%. Questi test dimostrano che i
nostri prodotti sono i migliori per quanto riguarda la resistenza
all’invecchiamento e all’elasticità. Quindi, oltre a durare nel
tempo meritano l’attribuzione dell’Ecolabel secondo la direttiva
europea (20002/740/Cee).

What is latex?
Latex is a white milky fluid, a stable dispersion of rubber (organic polymer) particles in water. Latexco works with two types of latex: Natural Rubber
Latex and Synthetic Rubber Latex.
The natural Rubber Latex is the sap of the tropical rubber tree “Hevea Brasiliensis” that grows in large plantations in South-East
Asia (Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam, Indonesia), parts of Africa (Cameroun) and South-America (Brazil). Most of the annual world
yield of natural latex is used for the production of tires, surgical gloves and preservatives. Protecting us from pathogenic viruses
through the use of surgical gloves and condoms, natural latex has helped save millions of lives.
A part is dedicated to the production of sleeping products. Latexco guarantees the use of the best-quality natural latex coming
from selected and controlled plantations and tested before transformation in the Latexco production process. Latexco values
the use of natural latex because it not only contributes a unique elasticity and flexibility to the end product, but it also stimulates
an ecological and durable production.
Since World War II and over the years the petrochemical industry has developed different types of synthetic lattices. You could say that synthetic latex is
the twin brother of natural latex. Synthetic latex is primarily used for its stability in delivery and processability.
Can latex foam mattresses cause allergies?
Latex foam mattresses do not cause allergies.
There is one type of allergy “latex allergy” that can be caused by the raw material “natural latex”. The vulcanization of the natural latex for the application
in mattresses, upholstery, car tires, etc. exposes the latex to high temperatures and this type of vulcanized latex does not cause the latex contact or
respiratory (coughing or sneezing) allergy that can be caused in approximately 1 person in 10,000 by the proteins within the untreated natural latex. It´s
the moulded latex used in preservatives, gloves or unwashed latex products that can cause the latex allergy.
Prof. Dr. Wim Stevens, Head of the Dpt. “Immunology, Rheumatology en Allergies” in the University Hospital of Antwerp (Belgium) and Head of the
“Immunology” Laboratory of the UIA. He published over 230 scientific articles in Medical Reviews.
Many publications report that 3-10% of medical personnel are acutely
sensitive to natural latex.This is typically an allergic reaction as a result of
direct contact with unwashed latex products like gloves. In most cases this
allergy is expressed as a rash and a skin or eye irritation. When it comes to
mattress cores, the key fact you have to keep in mind is that, according to the
medical literature, not a single case of allergic reaction has ever been reported
as a consequence of sleeping on a natural latex mattress. The latex allergy risk
connected with mattress cores is negligible, because the latex core is
washed thoroughly, the proteins responsible for triggering any allergic
reaction are denatured by the high temperatures during vulcanisation,and the
mattress cover protects the skin against direct contact

Es gibt nur eine Art von Allergie, die von dem Rohstoff
Naturlatex, dem Saft des Gummibaums, ausgelöst werden
kann: die “Latexallergie” (Kontakt- oder Atmungsallergie).
Diese Allergie kann allerdings nicht durch Schlafen auf einer
Latexmatratze oder einem Latexkissen ausgelöst werden,
weil die Latexkerne zuerst gründlich gewaschen werden.
Ausserdem werden die Proteine im Naturlatex, die eine
allergische Reaktion auslösen können, durch die höhen
Temperaturen während der Vulkanisation in der Produktion
zerstört. Schliesslich schützt der Matratzen- oder Kissenbezug
die Haut vor direktem Kontakt. Laut medizinischer Lieratur hat
es bisher noch keinen einzigen Fall gegeben, wo das Schlafen
auf einer Naturlatexmatratze die Ursache der Allergie war.

Il n’existe qu’un seul type d’allergie “allergie de latex”
(allergie de contact ou respiratoire) qui peut être provoqué
par la matière de base du latex naturel, le jus de l’arbre
de caoutchouc. Cependant, cette allergie ne peut pas être
provoquée par le fait de dormir sur un matelas ou oreiller
de latex car tout d’abord les noyaux de latex sont lavés à
fond. En plus, les protéines présentes dans le latex natural
qui sont responsables pour l’éventuelle réaction allergique
sont exterminées par les hautes températures lors de la
vulcanisation dans la production. Finalement la housse du
matelas ou de l’oreiller évite le contact direct entre le latex et la
peau. Selon la littérature spécialisée jusqu’à présent aucun cas
de réaction allergique suite au fait de dormir sur un matelas ou
oreiller de latex n’a été registré.

respiratorie, che può essere causato da materie prime derivanti
dal lattice naturale; la linfa della pianta della gomma. Tuttavia,
questa allergia non può essere contratta durante il sonno su un
materasso o su un guanciale in lattice, poichè i nostri prodotti
sono lavati accuratamente durante il ciclo di produzione e
le proteine del lattice naturale, responsabili di un’eventuale
reazione allergica, sono distrutte dalle alte temperature durante
la vulcanizzazione. Infine, la copertura del materasso o del
cuscino proteggono la pelle da qualsiasi contatto diretto.
Secondo la letteratura medica, nessun caso di reazione
allergica è mai stato segnalato e riscontrato su individui che
hanno dormito su un materasso o un cuscino in lattice.
