ROAST BEEF DINNER

Join us for a roast beef dinner on Sunday, December 1 , beginning at 12:00 noon, at the Palmer Road Community
Center. Dinner consists of roast beef with all the trimmings, dessert, tea, and coffee. Cost is $10 for adults and $5
for children ages 12 and under. All proceeds will go towards the up-keep of the Hall.

An Avon Christmas bingo will be held at the Tignish Legion (downstairs) on Sunday, December 1 , at 7:00 p.m.
Admission is $10 for twelve cards, $7 for eight cards, and kids $5 for four cards. Extra cards are also available.
Twenty rounds of bingo with prizes in the value of $20. There will be 50/50 tickets for sale. Please bring your own

CHRISTMAS AT THE ACADIAN MUSEUM

The public is invited to “Christmas at the Acadian Museum”, in Miscouche, on Sunday, December 1 , at 7:00 p.m.
The program will include the Mont-Carmel Choir, the fiddler Peter Arsenault, and young step-dancers from
Summerside and Miscouche. The audience will be invited to join in a Christmas carolling. Festive foods, such as
pâtés (Acadian meat pies) and holiday sweets, will be served. Free admission; donations appreciated. Organized by
the Acadian Museum and La Belle-Alliance.

Join us for a Christmas Dessert Extravaganza at the Miminegash Fire Hall on Sunday, December 8 , beginning at
6:00 p.m. This fundraiser is to help University student, Jesse Todd, raise money to travel to New Zealand to complete
his final year of training to become a teacher specializing in teaching students in Northern communities. As part of
this 6-week training, he must pay all expenses (approx. $4000) to fly to New Zealand and teach for 6 weeks. Tickets

MEMORIAL TREE FUNDRAISER FOR TIGNISH HEALTH CENTRE

The Tignish Health Centre will be holding their Memorial Tree Fundraiser on Wednesday, December 11 , at 6:30
p.m. A special prayer will be said for all those listed on our tree before the tree lighting. We will be serving cookies
and juice and there will be a special visit by Santa. The bulbs will be selling for $5 each. The card will read, “In loving
memory of…” with the name of the loved one appearing on the card. Only one name per card.
