STERN-Blinddegustation
Die besten SCHAUMWEINE und CHAMPAGNER
Im Frühjahr 2007 degustierte die STERN-Jury gegen 300 Schaumweine: Cava, Crémant, Sekt, Winzersekt, Spumante, Sparklings, Franciacorta – ausgenommen Champagner. Angefragt wurden alle Produzenten, Generalimporteure und bei kleineren Marken der mutmasslich grösste Importeur. Alle in Deutschland, der Schweiz und in Östereich auf dem Markt erhältlichen Schaumweine, egal ob Flaschen- oder Tankgärung, konnten zur Blinddegustation eingereicht werden. Die Sieger dieser Probe und alle Champagnerimporteure wurden daraufhin eingeladen, sich zusammen einer grossen Blinddegustation zu stellen. Nobelcuvées und Prestigechampagner
waren ausgeschlossen. Einige Sieger der Frühjahrsprobe waren inzwischen ausverkauft und nicht alle Champagnerproduzenten wollten auf die Einladung reagieren. Alle Flaschen wurden unter gleichen Bedingungen mehrere Tage gelagert und gekühlt und einheitlich mit 8° ausgeschenkt. Die Flaschen waren anonymisiert, mit einem schwarzen Strumpf verhüllt und nur über eine Nummer identifizierbar.
Die 22-köpfige Jury (Sommeliers, Master Wine, Oenologen, Produzenten, Einkäufer und Händler, Wein- und Champagnerjournalisten) bewertete nach dem internationalen 100er-System für Schaumweine, entwickelt von der
Union des Oenologes. Dieses benotet Klarheit, Aussehen, Perlage; in der Nase Intensität, Reintönigkeit und Qualität; im Gaumen Intensität, Reintönigkeit, Qualität und Nachhaltigkeit sowie insgesamt die Harmonie. Bei internationalen Weinwettbewerben ist ab 78 Punkten der Bronzemedaillen-Rang erreicht, ab 83 Punkten Silber
, ab 88 Punkten Gold
, ab 96 Großes Gold.

Die besten SCHAUMWEINE und CHAMPAGNER
Diese Ranglisten sind das Ergebnis einer am 22. 10. 07 in Hamburg im Anglo German Club durchgeführten Degustation. Wie jede sensorische Verkostung widerspiegeln sie den persönlichen Geschmack der Juroren, den aktuellen Zustand der Flaschen und die Gunst des Tages. Deshalb eine Momentaufnahme und kein säkulares Scherbengericht.
Vier Juries bewerteten nach dem 100er-System für Schaumweine, entwickelt von der Union des Oenologes. Dieses benotet Klarheit, Aussehen, Perlage; in der Nase Intensität, Reintönigkeit und Qualität; im Gaumen Intensität, Reintönigkeit, Qualität und Nachhaltigkeit und insgesamt die Harmonie.
