The luxury hotel is set in the centre of the Oyster Bay area of Dar es Salaam and
faces the ocean on Tourre Drive. It is a fifteen-minute drive from the middle of the city
and thirty minutes from the airports. It is designed specifically for travellers who are
passing through Dar es Salaam, whether for a few hours or overnight. The hotel is
open all year round. The Dar es Salaam experience starts at the airport where you will
be met by the chauffeur who is also your guide across the city to the seaside
sanctuary of peace that is this wonderful hotel.
The seaside hotel has eight roomy (70sqm) ocean facing suites with balconies located
on three floors. Fitted out in the style of a private villa with contemporary African décor,
the lounges and dining areas flow out on to a covered veranda and a gazebo to
appreciate the space and modern landscaped garden. There is also a study with
internet access. The focus is on comfort, space, clean lines and cool and natural
colours. All areas are air-conditioned for the warmer more humid months, but also
have French doors to allow for cooling by the tropical breeze. The suites have lounge
furnishing as well as writing desks and plasma screen televisions.
The suites are furnished with either king sized or twin beds facing the ocean view. The
en suite bathrooms, with freestanding bath, walk in showers and enclosed toilet
cubicle, flow off from the main bedroom area, creating a feeling of openness. All suites
are air conditioned, but also have louvered shutters and cross ventilation for those
who do not wish to sleep in air-conditioning.
There is a fifteen-metre lap pool in the garden and an arrangement of pool decks and
sun bathing and shady areas. The mature garden with giant palms, figs and
flamboyant tree, has been professionally landscaped. There is even the odd metal
sculpture to create an interesting conversation piece.

Everything has been planned to make your stay a special and pampered experience.
It does not matter when you arrive and how long you stay, there will always be
something suitable to eat, whether it is breakfast, morning coffee and cakes, cocktails,
lunch, afternoon tea or dinner and a nightcap. The resident managers and staff are
there to make sure that each guest enjoys the experience to the full. Meals are served
in the dining area, on the veranda or on the pool deck subject to the time of day and
weather conditions. The hotel has its own fleet of chauffeur driven vehicles that pick up
guests and returns them to the airport for their onward flight. The experience is a fully
inclusive package of transfers, accommodation, meals and drinks.
