She advises on municipal regulation that impacts business with an emphasis on the
land development industry, including planning documents, environmental constraints,
subdivision and condominium registrations, licensing and municipal contracts. Janet appears before administrative tribunals which adjudicate on land-related matters,
including the Ontario Municipal Board, the Assessment Review Board and the
Environmental Review Tribunal. She also appears as counsel before the courts on
matters relating to her expertise, and prosecutes and defends infractions of bylaws and
provincial and federal regulations.
She acts on behalf of private landowners and developers, municipal governments,
Crown corporations, non-profit corporations and condominium corporations.
