Riana attends Swarthmore College in the United States, studying Education and Psychology with a minor in Public Policy.
She is the co-founder and co-director, along with Jwalin Patel, of Independent Thought and Social Action in India (ITSA
India), an organization that promotes young leadership and global citizenry through critical thinking, writing, and
discussion on issues of social justice, such as gender, identity, financial independence and sexual health.
Additionally, Riana is a Student Ambassador at Summer Search in New York. While at Bard High School she co-founded
the Bard Student Activist Network. Riana was also on the community advisory board as a youth consultant at the
Whitney Museum of American Art. She worked as a reporter for her school’s student newspaper and was editor-in-chief
at her school in India. She has also founded a meditation group encouraging introspection and self-awareness called
“Spiritual Atheistic Introspection”. She speaks English, Hindi, Gujarati and intermediate Spanish.
Riana is very optimistic about the prospect of change and is inspired by women all over the world who are already taking
action and creating change in their communities.

sexuelle.
De plus, Riana est étudiante ambassadrice à Summer Search à New York. Lorsqu’elle était à Bard High School, elle a
cofondé le Bard Student Activist Network. Riana siégeait également au conseil consultatif communautaire à titre de
conseillère jeunesse au Musée Whitney d’art américain. Elle a travaillé comme reporteur pour le journal étudiant de son
école et était rédactrice en chef. Elle a également fondé un groupe de méditation qui encourage l’introspection et la
conscience de soi appelé « Spiritual Atheistic Introspection ». Elle parle anglais, hindi et gujarati, et possède des
connaissances intermédiaires en espagnol.
Riana est très optimiste au sujet de la possibilité de changement, et est inspirée par les femmes partout dans le monde
qui posent déjà des gestes et amènent des changements dans leur collectivité.
