This extraordinary session of Crans Montana Forum
will host an important Delegation from Solomon Islands.
Indeed the Forum, in association with the Initiative OCEANS COMPACT
launched by UN Secretary General Mr. BAN ki-moon, is partnering
with the UN and UNESCO to address the challenge of Climate change
and Sea level rise directly threatening numerous countries
and populations in the Pacific Region and in Africa.
Cette session extraordinaire du Forum de Crans Montana
accueille une importante délégation des Iles Salomon.
De fait, le Forum, en association avec l'initiative OCEANS COMPACT
de M. BAN ki-moon, Secrétaire Général des Nations Unies,
est directement impliqué, avec les Nations Unies et l'UNESCO,
dans l'action nécessitée par le changement
climatique et l'élévation du niveau de la mer qui menacent directement
de nombreuses populations, dans le Pacifique mais aussi en Afrique.

1. Supporting Somalia’s efforts to reduce poverty and enhance stabilisation, peace building and reconciliation at the national, regional and local levels
2. Supporting recognition of Somalia’s Exclusive Economic Zone to help protect its natural
maritime resources up to 200 nautical miles from its coastal baselines
