Les mots membre provisoire constituent une référence à l a Décision du •
17 novembre 1958 concernant les "dispositions en vue de l'accession du Cambodge"
(Supplément n° 7.- page 17)
Le paragraphe 3 de cette décision invite les p a r t i e s
oontractantes qui seraient disposées à continuer d'appliquer de facto les dispos i t i o n s de l'Accord général dans leurs r e l a t i o n s avec le Cambodge jusqu'au moment
où le Cambodge accédera, audit Accord, à n o t i f i e r cette intention au Secrétaire
exécutif. Les p a r t i e s contractantes suivantes appliquent l'Accord général dans
leurs r e l a t i o n s avec le Cambodge conformément à cette décision:

ACCESSION OF CAMBODIA
The Government of Canbodir. has advised that it does not, for the moment,
envisage accepting the Protocol for the Accession of Cambodia to the General
Agreement on Tariffs and Trade.1 It hopes that Cambodia can continue in the
capacity of a provisional membvr of GATT pending the first results of the
implementation of the new economic and financial reforms.
The words "provisional member" refer to the Decision of 17 November 1958
on "arrangements for the accession of Cambodia" (7th Supplement, page 17)•
In paragraph j5 of that Decision contracting parties which are prepared to
continue the de facto application of the General Agreement in their relations
with Cambodia, until such time as Cambodia accedes to the General Agreement,
are invited to notify the Executive Secretary.
The following contracting
parties are applying the General Agreement to Cambodia under this arrangement:
