Sizes 4½ mm (U.S. 7) and 5 mm (U.S. 8) knitting needles or size
needed to obtain gauge. 2 st holders.
Gauge: 18 sts and 24 rows = 4 ins [10 cm] with larger needles in
stocking st.
INSTRUCTIONS: The instructions are written for smallest
size. If changes are necessary for larger sizes, the instructions

Back
**With smaller needles, cast on 95 (99-103) sts.
***1st row: *K1. P1. Rep from * to last st. K1.
2nd row: *P1. K1. Rep from * to last st. P1.
Rep last 2 rows (K1. P1) ribbing until work from beg measures
2½ ins [6 cm], end with a 2nd row.***
Change to larger needles and proceed in stocking st until work
from beg measures 17½ (17½-18) ins [44.5 (44.5-45.5) cm]
ending with a purl row.
Shape armholes: Cast off 6 sts beg next 2 rows. 83 (87-91) sts.**
Cont even until work from beg measures 27 (27½-28) ins [68.5
(70-71) cm], ending with RS facing for next row.
Shape shoulders: Cast off 12 (13-14) sts beg next 2 rows, then
12 (13-13) sts beg following 2 rows. Leave rem 35 (35-37) sts on
a st holder.
Front
Work from ** to ** as given for Back.
Cont even until work from beg measures 24 (24½-24½) ins [61
(62-62) cm], ending with RS facing for next row.
Shape neck: Next row: K32 (34-36) (neck edge). Turn. Leave
rem sts on a spare needle.
****Cont in stocking st, dec 1 st at neck edge every row 4 times,
and then dec 1 st at neck edge every alt row 4 (4-5) times. 24
(26-27) sts.****
Cont even in stocking st until Front measures same length as Back
to beg of shoulder shaping, ending with RS facing for next row.
Shoulder shaping: (RS). Cast off 12 (13-14) sts. Knit to end of
row. Purl 1 row. Cast off rem 12 (13-13) sts.
With RS of work facing slip next 19 sts from spare needle onto a
st holder. Join yarn to rem sts and knit to end of row.
Rep from **** to ****.
Cont even in stocking st until Front measures same length as Back
to beg of shoulder shaping, ending with WS facing for next row.
Shoulder shaping: (WS). Cast off 12 (13-14) sts. Purl to end of
row. Knit 1 row.
Cast off rem 12 (13-13) sts.
Sleeves: With smaller needles, cast on 44 (48-48) sts.
Rep from *** to *** as given for Back.
Change to larger needles and proceed in stocking st inc 1 st each
end of needle on 5th and following 4th rows to 58 (66-62) sts and
then on following 6th rows to 78 (84-84) sts.
Cont even until work from beg measures 20½ (21-21½) ins [52
(53.5-54.5) cm], ending with RS facing for next row.
Shape top: Cast off 11 (12-12) sts beg next 6 rows. Cast off rem
12 sts.
Neckband: Sew right shoulder seam. With RS of work facing and
smaller needles, pick up and knit 18 (19-20) sts down left front
neck edge. K19 from front st holder. Pick up and knit 18 (19-20)
sts up right front neck edge. K35 (35-37) from back st holder, dec
1 st at center. 89 (91-95) sts.
Work 1½ ins [4 cm] of (K1. P1) ribbing as given for Back. Cast off
loosely. Sew left shoulder and neckband seam.
Finishing: Place markers on sides of Sleeves 1 inch [2.5 cm]
down from cast off edge. Sew in sleeves placing rows above
markers along cast off sts at armholes of Front and Back to form
square armholes. Sew side and sleeve seams.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS: Machine wash or hand wash in cool water using
a mild soap. Do not use bleach. Rinse well in cool water and remove
promptly. Squeeze gently to remove excess water; or briefly spin dry in
dryer on low setting. Re-shape and lay flat to dry. Wash colors separately,
SOME COLORS MAY RUN.
ENTRETIEN: Laver à la main ou à la machine dans de l’eau fraîche avec
un savon doux. Ne pas utiliser de javellisant. Bien rincer à l’eau fraîche et
retirer rapidement. Tordre légèrement pour retirer l’excès d’eau ou
brièvement essorer à la sécheuse à basse température. Redonner la forme
et laisser sécher à plat. Laver les couleurs séparément ; CERTAINES
COULEURS PEUVENT DÉTEINDRE.
INSTRUCCIONES PARA EL CUIDADO: Lave a máquina o a mano en
agua fresca usando un jabón suave. No use blanqueador. Enjuague en agua
fresca y retire rápidamente. Exprima suavemente para remover el exceso
de agua, o brevemente centrifuga en un secador en graduación baja.
Reforme y tienda de plano para secar. Lavar ropa de colores por separado.
