Panda Tempo 100% Acrylic Honeycomb Throw Yarn required to create Throw: Panda Tempo Yarn — 10 x 100g balls 2 intermediate Panda Tempo is exclusive to Honeycomb Throw (intermediate) MEASUREMENTS Size (approx) 102 x 102 cms/40 x 40 ins PANDA TEMPO YARN 10 x 100g balls Needles A pair 6.50mm (US 10½), (UK 3) Knitting Needles or size that gives correct tension/ gauge. Materials A Cable Needle; A Yarn Needle. TENSION/GAUGE 13 sts and 19 rows to 10 cms/4 ins over stocking st, using 6.50mm (US 10½), (UK 3) Knitting Needles. Note - Correct tension/gauge is essential for a successful handknit. ABBREVIATIONS St/s - stitch/es, K - Knit, P - Purl, RS - right side, WS - wrong side, stocking st - 1 row K, 1 row P, rep - repeat, beg - begin/ning, inc - increase, patt - pattern, incl - inclusive, cont - continue, P2tog - purl 2 sts together. SPECIAL ABBREVIATIONS C4F - slip next 2 sts onto cable needle and leave at front of work, K2, then K2 from cable needle. C4B - slip next 2 sts onto cable needle and leave at back of work, K2, then K2 from cable needle. CREATE Throw Using 6.50mm (US 10½), (UK 3) Needles, cast on 161 sts. 03/13 – W430 1st row (RS) - K2, * P1, K1, rep from * to last st, K1. 2nd row - K1, * P1, K1, rep from * to end. Rep 1st and 2nd rows until work measures 4 cms/2 ins from beg, ending with a 1st row. Next row (WS) - P2, inc purlways in next st, * P5, inc purlways in next st, rep from * to last 2 sts, P2 = 188 sts. Beg patt - 1st row - K2, * C4F, C4B, rep from * to last 2 sts, K2. 2nd row - Purl. 3rd row - Knit. 4th row - Purl. 5th row - K2, * C4B, C4F, rep from * to last 2 sts, K2. 6th row - Purl. 7th row - Knit. 8th row - Purl. Rows 1 to 8 incl form patt. Cont in patt until work measures approx 98 cms/38 ins from beg, ending with a 1st or 5th patt row. Next row (WS) - P2, P2tog, * P5, P2tog, rep from * to last 2 sts, P2 = 161 sts. Work in rib (as before) until work measures 102 cms/40 ins from beg, working last row on WS. Cast/bind off in rib. Side Borders With RS facing and using 6.50mm (US 10½), (UK 3) Needles, knit up 177 sts evenly along one side edge of throw, including rib borders. Work in rib as for throw (beg with a 2nd row) until border measures 4 cms/2 ins, ending with a 2nd row. Cast/bind off in rib. Work other side edge in same manner. FINISHING DO NOT PRESS. Using yarn needle, darn in ends.
