La revue Counseling et spiritualité 1
a pour but de promouvoir le dialogue
entre chercheurs, formateurs et praticiens dans le vaste domaine du counseling et de la spiritualité. Par son caractère interdisciplinaire, cette revue
bi-annuelle contribue à l’intégration de
la recherche en counseling, spiritualité,
pastorale, psychologie et/ou théologie
pratique. Seule revue canadienne dans
le domaine, elle tente de maintenir un
équilibre entre les approches théoriques
et pratiques, entre la recherche qualitative et quantitative privilégiant toujours
le caractère scientifique et original des
articles.
The journal, Counselling and Spirituality2, provides a forum for dialogue among
­researchers, trainers and practitioners in
the vast area of counselling and spirituality. By its interdisciplinary character,
it aims to contribute to the integration of
counselling, spirituality, psychology and/or
pastoral theology. It is notably the only
Canadian journal in this area and the articles reflect an international perspective
on spirituality research. The journal is
published twice a year; it presents theoretical, empirical and/or clinical articles
which are either quantitative or qualitative
in nature. Articles are selected based on
their originality of scientific contribution.

La revue bilingue Counseling et spiritualité/and Spirituality
fait appel à des articles inédits et originaux. Elle cible en
particulier la recherche interdisciplinaire en counseling
(individuel, de couple, de famille et de groupe), en
­psychosociologie, en spiritualité, en pastorale, en santé,
en relation d’aide, en éthique, en théologie pratique.
Nous accordons beaucoup d’importance à la qualité de
la langue écrite.
Avant d’être publié, chaque manuscrit est l’objet
d’une évaluation de la part d’arbitres anonymes et de
la direction de la revue de concert avec son comité
­consultatif.
a) Les manuscrits sont écrits à interligne et demi. La
longueur des textes ne dépasse pas 25 pages, notes et
références comprises.
b) Le titre de l’article, le nom de l’auteur, son affiliation
et sa ville, son adresse complète, ses numéros de
­téléphone et de télécopieur ainsi que son adresse
électronique figurent sur une page à part.
a) Les courtes citations sont mises entre guillemets
dans le texte (svp. utiliser les guillemets français :
« … »). Les citations plus longues (4 lignes et plus)
sont en retrait à l’intérieur du texte, en caractères
réguliers, mais sans guillemets.
b) Ne pas citer les renseignements bibliographiques
en entier dans le corps du texte. Elles doivent
­correspondent au style de APA. Exemple : (Gingras,
1991, p. 53).
c) Les notes servent à des précisions ou à des ­commentaires
substantiels ; elles sont numérotées à l’aide d’un
exposant (en commençant par 1, 2 …) et tapées
­
à simple interligne. Les appels de note dans le texte
se trouvent immédiatement après le passage auquel
ils renvoient et avant la ponctuation.
Références
Tout texte comportant des références textuelles est
­accompagné d’une bibliographie qui figure à la fin du
­manuscrit sur une page séparée. La liste des ouvrages cités
est tapée à interligne et demie par ordre alphabétique
d’auteurs (Cf. APA).
Résumé
Les auteurs fournissent un résumé entre 100 et 150 mots
en français et traduit en anglais.
Biographie
L’auteur fournit une notice biographique d’environ
5 lignes.

Note to Contributors
The bilingual journal Counselling et spiritualité/and
­Spirituality welcomes contributions of original articles not
published elsewhere. The goal of the journal is to publish
interdisciplinary research in the domains of ­counselling
(individual, couple, family and group), psychosocial ­issues,
spirituality, pastoral issues, health, helping relationship,
ethics and practical theology. The quality of the written
language of articles is of the utmost importance.
Submitted manuscripts are evaluated via an anonymous
peer review process. The decision to publish is based
on these peer reviews in conjunction with editorial
­consultation.
a) Manuscripts are to be double spaced. The length of
the text should not exceed 25 pages, end notes and
references included.
b) The title of the manuscript and the author’s name,
affiliation and city, complete address, telephone
and fax numbers and email address should appear
on a separate page.
a) Short quotations that appear in the text should
be 
placed within quotation marks. Quotations
that are longer than 4 lines should be presented in
an indented block, single spaced in regular font
without quotation marks.
b) Do not cite all reference information within the body
of the text. Citations in the text should ­correspond to
the APA style, for example, (Gingras, 1991). If it is
a direct quotation, the page number should also be
provided.
c) Footnotes should only be included to provide
more detail or additional commentary on the text.
­Footnotes should be numbered consecutively and
single spaced. The footnote indicator should appear
immediately after the relevant passage in the text
and before any punctuation.
References
All citations in the text should appear in full reference
form in alphabetical order in the Reference section on
a separate page at the end of the text. References should
be double spaced. APA format should be followed.
Abstract
Authors should provide a 100-150 word abstract in
­English. If possible, authors are encouraged to submit a
French translation of this abstract.
Biography
Authors should provide a short biography (about 5 lines).
Final Submission
Please submit manuscripts electronically. Manuscripts
should be in MsWord or in Rich Text (RTF) format.
