Message From the Head of School
While it may have seemed recently that spring will never come, April is not
that far away. And for us, April will bring not only milder weather but also
one of the most important events of the school year, the annual ISB Gala
Benefit. EntitledIMAGINE, this year's Gala will take place on April 11 at the
beautiful Harvard Club of Boston on Commonwealth Avenue. This year the
event will have a special focus on our alumni, especially some of our
younger "anciens élèves," who embody so well the values of our school.
The Gala is not only an evening of great fun and celebration; it is also the keystone of
the ISB Fund for Excellence, which plays such an important role in making ISB an ever
stronger school. Past Galas have helped fund such essential projects as the playground, a
state of the art math lab, our first real science lab, and the media center. Every year, the
Gala has helped the school to imagine a brighter future and to realize that dream. And
every year, it is the parents who volunteer many hours of their time, as members of the
Gala Committee, who make this grand event possible. On behalf of the whole community, I
extend my thanks to those volunteers, past and present, who have helped us build the
school we know today.
I hope you will take a minute to read the message below from this year's Gala Committee,
and that you will make attending the Gala part of your plans to celebrate the spring and
ISB!

IMAGINE...
We are pleased to announce IMAGINE,
our school's Annual Benefit Gala. This
festive event will take place on Friday,
April 11, from 7 pm to midnight at the
prestigious Harvard Club of Boston.
WHY?
ISB doesn't receive any direct
subsidies from the French
Government or the U.S.
Government. Tuitions cover ALL
the operational costs of the
school. Like all French schools in
the United States, ISB counts on
the generosity of its community,
to which you belong.

événement festif tant attendu aura
lieu le vendredi 11 avril de 19
heures à minuit au

POURQUOI ?
Le LIB ne reçoit aucune subvention directe,
ni du gouvernement français, ni du
gouvernement américain. Les frais de
scolarité servent à couvrir TOUS les frais
opérationnels de l'école. Comme toutes les
écoles françaises des États-Unis, le LIB fait
appel à la générosité de sa communauté,
dont vous faites partie.

OUR ALUMNI:
Jennifer and Mathieu... But who are
these young people? The Gala will
give you the opportunity to meet two
of our former students, Jennifer
Chammas (Class of 2009) and Mathieu
Wardrop (Class of 2010) who will
unveil a new initiative in the history of
ISB. They sent us a few lines about
themselves.
