NFFA AN OPEN ACCESS RESEARCH INFRASTRUCTURE for experimental & theoretical nano science Giancarlo PANACCIONE (IOM-Lab. TASC - Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche (CNR) - Trieste- Italy) Lundi 29 février 2016 – 14h00 Amphithéâtre SOLEIL The Nano Foundry and Fine Analysis (NFFA-Europe) project -a H2020 Research and Innovation Actionwill be presented. The NFFA-Europe project has started on September 1st 2015 its 4-year programme. It involves twenty partner institutions in Europe aiming to operate a distributed research infrastructure that will perform Joint Research Projects (JRA) addressing frontier topics in nanoscience, instrumentation and data management and Networking Activities (NA) to reach out to science and industrial communities. NFFA will offer Transnational Access (TA) to the European scientists interested in atomic precision growth, nano-lithography, nano-characterization including fine analysis at Large scale facilities , numerical simulation and theory. We will describe how Transnational Access is organised, i.e. competitive access (peer-reviewed proposals) to state of the art nanoscience facilities Integrated with the large scale infrastructures will be offered by ten sites that are co-located with large scale facilities to make the synergy between nano-foundry and fine-analysis methods effective “on-site” or even “in-situ”, and to four more theory/simulation laboratories. Proposals will be collected via a Single Entry Point (SEP) portal with the assistance of the Technical Liaison Network (TLNet).
