Laval program update

Take a bow for a pillar of the program
It will be in December 2013 that Dr Richard Cloutier will be moving on to fully explore his
many passions, as he will be leaving towards retirement.
As a great master, he has left a humongous heritage that will continue to be cherished for
many years to come.
He has instilled both rigorousness and passion to all of those he has guided through their
residency. He had revealed the great humanistic qualities he possessed in the most skillful
ways. Dr Cloutier will not be leaving the program emptied--his heritage will be passed on as a
guiding light through all members of the staff he has been in touch with. In turn, they will
keep on honoring the field of dermatology professionally and resolutely humanly.
This is not a goodbye, as we can be assured that he will be seeking news and updates from
each and every one of us. Let’s leave the door ajar for now… just in case he wishes to return to
contemplate the masterwork he has left in legacy.

Congratulations!
It was on a beautiful sunny autumn day, on October 12th, that Dr Ann-Marie Drolet and
Mathieu Lafontaine celebrated their wedding. Congratulations and all the best to this
wonderful couple.
Marc-André Doré, resident in dermatology (PGY4) and Marilyn Labrie, resident in neurology,
have celebrated their engagement in September in the festive setting of Las Vegas. We are
awaiting the date and location of their upcoming wedding which will surely be… very festive!
Dr Marie-Michelle Blouin gave birth to Clara Elizabeth Roy. This new baby that possesses a
name fitted for royalty will surely be the new little princess of her daddy, Alexandre Roy. We
will be letting them enjoy their new kingdom for a little while longer but are all eager to
welcome back Dr Blouin.
Baby Étienne has just made a grand entrance in the home of Dr Geneviève Thérien. This
newcomer apparently has as much hair as his brother, Alexis. Both should be able to ensure
order in this household—just like their daddy, police officer, Hugues Lavoie.
Holà, Senior Jasso!
Nothing better than to have a Mexican resident to « spice up » team spirit! We all enjoyed
having the chance to welcome Julio Jasso into our program for the last 2 months. We have
appreciated both his expertise as well as his vivid personality. We will remember his
incursion. Viva Mexico
