C’est sous le thème « Soutenons la
réussite! » qu’était lancée en 2005
la première campagne majeure
de financement de la Fondation
du CCNB. Avec l’attribution des
premières bourses, nous célébrons
le fruit des efforts des personnes
bénévoles, des généreux donateurs
et des membres du personnel qui ont
cru dans les objectifs de la campagne
et sans qui l’octroi de ces bourses ne serait pas possible.
Nous vous sommes très reconnaissant d’avoir reconnu les
besoins des étudiants et étudiantes du CCNB.
L’an 2007 a certainement été
mouvementé pour notre toute
nouvelle Fondation. Entre autres,
notre Conseil d’administration
fondateur a complété sa tâche, le
nouveau Conseil permanent a été
nommé et notre première campagne
de financement au profit du Fonds
de bourse s’est terminée avec grand succès. Encore
mieux, et presqu’inattendu, vu que les promesses de dons
s’échelonnent sur cinq ans, nous avons été en mesure de
décerner soixante-douze bourses de mille dollars chacune à
72 étudiants et étudiantes dans tous les campus du Collège
communautaire du Nouveau-Brunswick!
Au nom des membres du Conseil d’administration de la
fondation, je veux féliciter les récipiendaires et leur offrir
tous nos vœux de succès dans leurs études collégiales.
Un excellent début, mais ce n’est pas fini - en 2008, la
Fondation compte percevoir les promesses et de nouveaux
dons et fera tout son possible pour obtenir des ristournes
encore meilleures sur ses investissements. Nul doute
qu’encore plus de bourses seront données dans la prochaine
année scolaire.
Merci à tous ceux et celles qui ont contribué à l’octroi de
ces bourses!
Ensemble, continuons de soutenir la réussite!

It is under the theme “Support Achievement!” that was
launched in 2005 the first major fundraising campaign
of the NBCC Foundation. With the awarding of these first
scholarships, we are celebrating the fruits of the efforts
of volunteers, generous donors and staff members who
believed in the campaign’s goals, and without whom these
scholarships would not be possible. We are grateful that you
have recognized the needs of NBCC students.
On behalf of the members of the Foundation’s Board of
Trustees, I want to congratulate the recipients and wish
them success in their college studies.
The year 2007 was certainly a busy one for our brand new
Foundation. Our founding Board of Directors completed its
mandate, the new permanent Board was appointed, and
our first-ever scholarship fundraising campaign ended with
resounding success. Even better, and more than expected
since pledges were made over five years, we were able
to give out seventy-two bursaries of a thousand dollars
each to 72 students at all campuses of the New Brunswick
Community College!

An excellent start, but only the beginning - in 2008, the
Foundation expects to collect on pledges, source new gifts,
and do everything possible to increase the return on its
investments. There is no doubt that even more awards will
be made in the next school year.
