Language:
This week’s dictée will be a
little bit different as
students will be studying
how to conjugate ER verbs
in French. This should be a
review for everyone. We
will also be using different
ER verbs in sentences,
learning how to
appropriately conjugate
them mainly by looking at
the pronouns, like “je, tu, il,
elle, etc.”, that are used.
Week: April 13 - April 17
une face = face/side
Math:
Students have a math test
this week on addition and
subtraction. Many students
struggle to really
understand what needs to
be solved in a word problem,
applying their thinking in
order to decide what math
needs to be used in order to
solve the problem. This
week we will start on some
Geometry by reviewing 2D
shapes and investigating
their relationship with 3D
ones.
un arête = edge
un sommet =
vertex
un prisme rectangulaire
REMINDERS:
• Pizza Lunch will be this Thursday, April 16th.
• Please make sure you are checking your child’s agenda for any messages and/or
reminders about upcoming events. Thank you for taking the time to initial the agenda,
as this allows me to know you are reading and keeping track of it.
• Fill out your child’s reading log in order to promote reading every day! I only count
the minutes that have been initialed by someone at home. Check the number of minutes
your child is reading and encourage them to practise pronunciation and intonation.
Ensure your child’s understanding by asking them questions about things they have just
read. Have them explain in their own words.
