ORTHODONTICS
A
t TGO Orthodontics, we pride
ourselves in providing excellent
orthodontic care in a friendly
environment while offering a
personalized service to our patients.
As many of you are aware, this past
year we went through an important
transformation: the relocation to a
new clinic to ensure our continued
ability to offer the highest quality of
service in a modern, cutting-edge
clinic.
As we continue to strive to deliver
excellent orthodontic care to our
patients, we are very happy to
announce the addition of a new
member to our team: Dr. Jonathan
Werbitt.
One of the reasons we asked Dr.
Werbitt to join TGO Orthodontics was
to continue to ensure that our patients
have access to the highest standard of
care. To do so, we needed to find the
right fit for a skilled orthodontist to
join our team at TGO.
We were looking for someone with
experience, professionalism,
innovation, and a history of team
collaboration on complex cases. Across
all, Dr. Werbitt fit the bill to a tee.
Without further ado, we’d like to
introduce you to Dr. Werbitt and tell a
bit of his story, both professionally and
personally.

Dr. Jonathan Werbitt received his
M.Sc. in Dentistry from Boston
University (Specialty in Orthodontics).
Prior to his M.Sc., Dr. Werbitt received
his D.M.D. (Doctor of Dental Medicine)
degree from McGill University. He is a
member of the Quebec, Canadian and
American Association of
Orthodontists, and is a Fellow of the
Royal College of Dentists of Canada.
WHY T G O ?
Dr. Werbitt could have gone to any
number of clinics when seeking new
opportunities and challenges, but the
decision as to why he joined TGO is
best told in his own words: “After
being privy to a number of orthodontic
practices in the U.S and Canada, TGO
was the one practice that had all the
components that I was looking for.
They have a fantastic and friendly
team, offering their patients
individualized treatment with a very
personalized approach.
CHOOSING
ORTHODONTICS AS A
SPECIALIZATION
Coming from a family of dentists,
Dr. Werbitt’s father, Marvin, who is
now retired, and his older brother
Jeremy, are both Periodontists,
making the path to becoming a
dentist a natural one.From a young
age he saw how patients would
express extreme gratitude towards
his father for the work he had done
on them.
Once it came to deciding on the
specialty to follow, Dr. Werbitt
describes his decision to become an
orthodontist as follows “a smile can
really make or break somebody’s
confidence. It is the first thing you
notice when someone walks into a
room, and it truly gives me so much
joy to give somebody back their
confidence!"

INTRODUCING DR. WERBITT
PROCEDURES AND
PREFERENCES
All orthodontic procedures are
working towards the same final result:
improving on a smile, be they for
cosmetic and/or oral health reasons.
However, Dr. Werbitt says that the
procedures that have the most impact
and effect on a patient’s smile, and the
one he is most passionate about, are
those involving the use of both
orthodontics and orthognathic
surgery.
Orthognathic surgery (otherwise
known as corrective jaw surgery) is a
dental surgery that combines both
orthodontics and jaw surgery to
correct complex orthodontic problems
and requires a large amount of
planning and collaboration amongst
dental specialists.

Dr. Werbitt is very active,
participating regularly in golf,
softball, tennis, running and
yoga. Like all of us, he also enjoys
simply relaxing with family and
friends. His passion for
orthodontics shines through
even during his downtime, as he
teaches it at the Faculty of
Dentistry at McGill University.
Additionally, he also lectures
once a year at Boston University
in the field of Growth and
Development to third year
dental students.

sommes particulièrement fiers d’offrir

savent peut-être déjà, des événements
majeurs ont marqué la dernière année ,
dont la relocalisation de notre clinique
afin d’offrir à nos clients le meilleur

recherche et de la technologie.
Toujours en lien avec notre mission de
garantir la meilleure expertise à nos

Jonathan Werbitt.
L’une des raisons nous ayant poussés à
solliciter les services du docteur
Werbitt est notre souhait d’offrir les
meilleurs soins possibles à nos chers
patients. Pour ce faire, il nous fallait
trouver un orthodontiste dont
l’expertise correspondait à notre
niveau d’exigence. Nous recherchions
un professionnel ayant un bon esprit
d'équipe, de l’entregent, innovant,
capable d’opérer en équipe lorsque les
situations sont complexes : Dr.
Jonathan Werbitt répond

DR JONATHAN WERBITT,
D.M.D, MSD, DIP.
ORTHO, F.R.C.D. (C)
Dr Jonathan Werbitt est titulaire
d’une M.Sc. en Dentisterie de
l’Université de Boston
(spécialisation en orthodontie).
Avant l’obtention de sa M.Sc., Dr.
Werbitt obtint son D.M.D.
(docteur en médecine dentaire) à
l’Université de McGill. Ce dernier
est, par ailleurs, membre de
l’association Québécoise,
Canadienne et Américaine des
orthodontistes. Enfin, Dr. Werbitt
est affilié au Collège Royal des
dentistes du Canada.

Dès son plus jeune âge, ce dernier
percevait à quel point les patients
de son père lui démontraient leur
extrême gratitude pour son travail.
Une fois le temps venu de décider
quelle serait sa spécialisation, Dr.
Werbitt décrit sa décision de
devenir orthodontiste « un sourire
peut vraiment faire ou défaire la
confiance de quelqu’un, c’est la
première chose qu’on remarque
quand quelqu’un entre dans une
chambre. Je voulais être la
personne qui la conçoit, et qui la
peaufine afin de l’embellir. Ainsi,
être capable d’aider quelqu’un pour
qu’il puisse obtenir un sourire
radieux en me procurant une
satisfaction personnelle »
POURQUOI TGO?
Dr Werbitt aurait pu travailler
pour de nombreuses cliniques
offrant des défis et opportunités.
Or ce dernier décrit en ces termes
les raisons l’ayant conduit à joindre
l’équipe de TGO : «Ayant eu la
chance d’être exposé à de
nombreuses pratiques
orthodontiques aux États-Unis et
au Canada, celles présentées par
TGO correspondaient
véritablement à ce que je
recherchais. L’équipe de TGO est
tout simplement géniale et
chaleureuse, et veille à offrir des
soins personnalisés correspondant
à chaque besoin de ses patients.
De plus, je souhaiterais mentionner
que TGO est à la fine pointe des
pratiques, traitements et
technologie en matière de soins
orthodontiques, en n’omettant pas
que cet établissement est dans
l’une des plus jolies cliniques de
Montréal. »

PRÉ F É R E N C E S
L’ensemble des procédés
orthodontiques convergent vers un
seul et même objectif : rendre un
sourire plus séduisant, que ce soit
pour des raisons esthétiques ou de
santé. Cependant, Dr Werbitt
affirme que les procédés ayant le
plus d’impact et d’effets sur le
sourire de ses clients, pour lesquels
il voue une véritable passion, sont
ceux impliquant une chirurgie
orthodontique et orthognathique.
La chirurgie orthognatique (aussi
connue sous le nom de chirurgie
correctrice de la mâchoire)

dentaire
qui combine l'orthodontie
et la chirurgie de la mâchoire afin
de corriger des
problèmes complexes
orthodontiques, requérant une
planification solide ainsi qu’une
collaboration étroite entre
spécialistes dentaires.

PROFESSIONNELLE
Dr Werbitt est particulièrement
actif et dynamique, pratiquant
sur une base régulière le golf, le
softball, le tennis, la course à
pieds et le yoga. Comme nous
tous, ce dernier apprécie

Dr Werbitt est issu d’une famille
de dentistes. Son père, Marvin,
maintenant à la retraite, ainsi que
son grand-frère Jeremy, tous deux
parodontistes, influencèrent
grandement Jonathan Werbitt
quant à son ambition de devenir
(naturellement) dentiste.
